Additionally, there is a way to “not confirm” something. You simply say it’s too early to tell, we can’t confirm, or were looking at all available evidence. Clearly Alethea Duncan is not qualified for the task for which she was assigned. She incorrectly referred to this tragic incident as an event which is alarming to say the least, and then proceeded to tell everyone that it was not a terrorist event. I'm sure she is a good person, but obviously not the best person for the job. I don't blame her for accepting the job, I blame the people and racist policies that gave her the job at the expense of applicants who were disqualified from the position due to the colour of their skin, or their gender.
