I remember watching this with my parents in a local bar/restaurant. We were the only ones in the restaurant area. We started screaming when he won $500,000. The owner came in and asked us why we were screaming. Then, they put the show in the bar. Everyone was dead silent and then the entire building erupted in cheers when he won.

i watched his run live as a kid 9 or 10 years old and thought it was super impressive he knew every question but after re watching it at age 30 i realize his questions were super easy there were only 2 or 3 i had no idea on and would of had to use life line........ but back then internet was just starting and i feel like now days knowledge is easyer to obtain so Him knowing all this stuff back then he had to mostly read out a book is impressive
