(continued) effectively shooting themselves in the foot at the very least and committing suicide at most. The BBC would have to be pretty crazy to do so. They can't really expect people to rush out and buy £50+ digital sets. A lot of people will simply tune in to all those "smaller" local stations and the like, which will continue to broadcast on FM. For the record, I'm 25.

Even if there is a DAB switch over I will still use my Roberts R-800. If everyone is perfectly satisfied with FM then they can not take all of the national stations off FM and save a lot of time and money and there are a lot of issues that are more important than the quality of a radio signal. FM is fine, has that fact came to the government's attention.

We, the listener, neither need nor want Dead And Buried (yes, that's what DAB stands for, in my opinion, for a multitude of reasons). If the G*vernment wants me to replace my perfectly satisfactory analogue set with a £50+++ Dead And Buried radio, surely they should give me the money to do so, especially as I will be let with an inferior service? Anyhow, the switchover won't happen until long after 50% of radio listening is via digital. If they try, they will reduce their audiences by half
