Daniel Naroditsky is one of the greatest chess commentators of our time. The ability to seamlessly explain the thought processes of BOTH players, follow the game, and keep the commentary engaging and interesting is something that is truly amazing.

He could not do that with Bobby Fischer, because Bobby brought moves nobody had ever studied before. He is not a mind reader,--just a good memory of traditional play, like most GM's.

@@EarthSurferUSA I'm sure he could do it. That was flawless at the speed they were playing. I may have learned more about Chess in that 5 minutes from his succinct commentary than any other commentator for any sport. There's a reason he writes for the new York times chess column now

@@EarthSurferUSA What are you talking about? Are you saying that Naroditsky isn't able to comment on novelties and interesting positions in the middlegame/endgame? That's simply not true. Chess at the level of Grandmaster is more than rote memorization - you have to have an intuitive understanding of the game for when you inevitably deviate from known theory.

@@LugalZagesi1337 Nah he's right, you're just biased cuz you're one of the chess-only people, the thing about sports, or esports that makes it accessible to wider audiences, to sweat lords and casuals together is that even people that play league of legends (or any other game) casually can understand the majority of what's going on, even in the cases of games like CS:GO where it's a lot more simple ,even a person that has NO idea about the game is able to understand to a certain extent. In the case of chess? If you are not half decent how are you supposed to get hyped over some move when you don't know what the fuck is going on exactly? You NEED to have an investment in chess to really appreciate what's going on, but that isn't the case for other general sports/esports, which again is just an explanation as to why chess is just not that popular with general audiences

I just want to echo the praise some have given to the commentator here. As a beginning/intermediate level player here, this commentator explains things in a way that illuminates the subtleties of their play but also communicates the moves in a way that I can understand. Not just describing the moves and big theories, but saying things like "he will make the trade on his terms" or "he moves agreeing to the trade". Also he keeps up with the tempo of the game, when it gets exciting and tense he conveys that with the speed of his speech etc. Also just great nailbiting game.

For those who don’t know who wins d game Answer is : No one ( it’s DRAW )😅 So those who thinks why draw? Let’s allow them to play until one lose. Answer: It’s not possible Both have same pices And both are in such position they can’t afford to play different moves elz opponent will get chance to win d game. So basically they will play same same moves and in chess repetition considered DRAW. So they save d time too 😅 by shaking hands & hence game is draw.
