Baba Yagas house is a house that stands on chicken legs and the inside is covered with human flesh and the garden is protected by a fence of human bones with heads/skulls as lanterns. I think thats why they made the video about flesh :)
@Metalmudo3 жыл бұрын
Actually Baba Yaga has its roots from Slavic folklore and mythology its basically a deity that is described as a witch which lures children in her house with candy and then eats them for gaining life force, interesting thing is that Baba Yaga has also weird house that moves on its own with huge chicken legs...hilarious abit yea The song is basically involved about that deity not the Boogyman,Boogeyman is totally different thing

Baba Yaga is an old woman witch which lives between the world of the living and the world of the dead. She has a skeleton leg (because she’s between the worlds) and needs to feed on young flesh to keep living in the world of the living. It’s a much deeper folklore than that, I just have you a glimpse.

Baba Yaga is a diety from Slavic Mythology actually. She kinda plays as an anti-hero? Is a witch that lives in a moving house with “chicken legs.” She’s really interesting lmao

Baba Yaga Aka Bone Leg - it's not a man. She is babushka! Old nasty (creapy/toxic) woman, grandma live in dense forest and brews various potions. (BTW: Loves young heroes) Russian Boogie man is a Бука (Booka).
@Cthulhuguru3 жыл бұрын
Baba Yaga is a witch, or rather a demigoddess. She's the classic crone who flies around in a cauldron with a broom that she rows with. She lives in a house with chicken's feet that can only be found if you are looking away with your back facing it. Boogeyman steal children, that's what she has in common with the various boogeymen from lore around the world, and she, like they exist as a reason for your kids to not wanna go wander in the woods, but she is just as likely to catch adult slaves. Slavic lore has a classic representation of a Boogeyman though, and Baba Yaga is not it. She is immortal, and has nearly limitless power and an arsenal of relics to steal if you can, and using these against her is usually the only way to survive an encounter. She can raise the dead, manipulate the very environment of the woods causing people to become lost or for whatever she wants the trees to do, she can also put people in a trance, use them as slaves and often eats those that don't do a good job. The fence around her house is made from the human bones of her ineffective slaves. She is also known to be an ogress in some tellings, or as a coven of three old crones, something akin the Fates of Greek lore. This is a common trait of many gods and goddesses and they are called "Aspects". for instance in Celtic lore the Goddess of War, Death, Fate and Maternity, Morrigan is sometimes seen as a single shapeshifting woman, and sometimes as a collective of three sisters called the Daughter's of Ernmas, or called Morrigna and each of these 3 "Aspects" have their own traits and characteristics. Badb, Macha and Nemain or sometimes Anand. The Russian in John Wick is ridiculous and it's hard for me to believe that they didnt do this on purpose as a joke, like a group chanting the verses of a mother to son lullaby like it's a drinking song, and a different lullaby is blasted by a car stereo in another scene, and the subtitles throughout the movie are quite a bit different from what is actually being said, and honestly John Wick is about as close to being the Babadook as he is Baba Yaga.. John Wick doesn't chase guys in a cauldron. He uses muscle cars. He doesn't cook people while they're still alive and he ventilates them quite a bit when he does light them up. John doesn't use a broom to hurt people, but I hear he's good with a Fucking Pencil... Alot of movies out there have bad guys speaking other languages, and how often would you know what's actually being said? I think they just enjoy hiding jokes up front knowing most won't know the difference. I do podcasts about things like Baba Yaga, The Mothman, Keanu Reeves, and Bigfoot.
