Maybe I’m just overly emotional from the stress of being a nurse in a hospital during all this, but I actually teared up when Doug talked about making the acrylic boxes for intubation. That is a wonderful thing that you guys could do that would provide an extra layer of security for some folks in the hospital. And seeing how you’re taking precautions and helping your employees the best you can to keep their jobs and keep safe? You guys are officially one of my favorite companies ❤️

Thank you guys so much for finding your way to push through this tough time, but also for utilizing your capabilities to help those of us in the medical field help those affected by this virus. The reason that box is so useful is that while intubating a patient, the virus is aerosolized through their breath and mucous and saliva that is coughed up into the air. This device will contain all the aerosolized particles and prevent them from making contact with the eyes and mucous membranes of the person performing the procedure, thank you all so much for everything you're doing!

In this time when we are seeing larger companies respond just horrifically to this, trying to take advantage of their employees either forcing them to work in unsafe conditions or just laying them off, companies that can afford the hit, even wanting to delay paying their staff for the hours they have already worked, it's amazing to see you guys. Trying to Protect your Staff, and make sure they can still work and then while doing all that? Trying to help the Frontline staff at cost, not even making a little profit to help tide yourselves over.... You guys are amazing

Love the intubation boxes idea and generosity; necessity really is the mother of invention and when the going gets tough it's beautiful to watch communities pull together. On the other hand, some of your protective measures may not be fully effective (though certainly a helpful step in the right direction). For instance, while gloves and masks might make you feel more secure, when you put on gloves and immediately pull out your phone... those boys are already covered in microorganisms. When you all gather around the TV to watch the governor's address, or accept a bottle of beer from a stranger... you're not really distancing. Do I think it's high risk, not necessarily, but it's also not quite up to recommendations. I understand why you all want to keep working, though, and I admire your dedication to supporting your staff and your customers during this confusing and stressful time. We're all just trying to figure out how to take care of each other in a changing world.

For the production of the intubation boxes, you could even bring back some workers who are having more issues doing woodworking at home because of at-home resources. So many hospitals across the country need those boxes, it's impossible to make too many right now.
