X 56 THROTTLE FIX

Really kind of you to post that video and help others out. I stumbled onto your video whilst looking for X56 throttle teardowns - I don't have the same issue with my X56 - I get constant ghost presses so I'll be pulling mine apart too.

My roommate fixed the ghosting problem by getting a USB 3.1 hub and hooking the X-56 up through that to his PC. No more ghost button presses. Don’t have to take anything apart.

I acually found out recently that I plugged it in a USB 3.0 hub and ghosted but when separated on the pc and hub it works its also the power that is being supplied

Thank you for this, just received my X56 (defective from ebay). Had to replace one of the potentiometers as it was broken, was a quick fix and calibration after.

Thanks. Yes, I thought it was a hardware problem, not a software problem. Simple work, and how effective. Tomorrow I am dismantling my throttle and doing a correction. Thanks for the video.

Don't do this. Just do a HARDWARE recalibration. Google the steps, it's super dumb and requires you to hold down some switches, plug it in, hit a few more key combos and it'll flash the LED lights. Then you move the throttle through its full range, unplug, replug and BAM it's fine now!

Lol sorry man... BUT now I'm experiencing a physical "creep" to full throttle due to the weight of the device. Seeing as you've been inside, got any ideas for that? It happens even when the resistance knob is tightened down.

The pot is either wore out or is dirty. My guess with the amount of grease in there is that it is just dirty. Go get some electric parts cleaner from a automotive parts shop and spray it in the pot.

The gear was put in a negative state from the rotation the throttle is going so by the time I hit 50% it would stop so i just moved the gear back and it worked not good at explaining sorry

OK and finally the 2 axes are hall effect magnetic or simple pot?

@@MANGO-md8yy i'm asking (sorry for my english) if the throtle axis are made with trim resisitive pot OR, wuith the new hall effect sensor that use a magnetic field. the second can live many years

@@trucmuche2523 thier just gears inside from what I seen dn I thinks it's the magnetic but I could be wrong I haven't opened it back up in years 😅. Hopefully this helps and no need to be sorry bro you good

I have the same problem but just with my stick and I’ve already opened it and idk why it’s messing up bc nothing inside is messed up

I don't have any idea how the stick would have deadzone or unless its in the software from Logitech for the x56 try that. What game are you trying to play with it?You can also put your own deadzone in the software maybe that ? Hit me up on DISCORD PM me at Mango#6689

Its becuase of the gears. perhaps rough play or extended use can cause the teeth to ware down or skip causing the ghoasting effect. logitech should really do shit better. make this part of the throttle more on the quality side, metal gears perhaps.

I still have it to this day and still works perfect except for a few buttons but other then that 180 well spent for last 2 or 3 years

I wouldn't know you can probably find something for toy Greece cause it is plastic and bits of metal or regular Greece for other car used lol I wouldn't know tbh but it's your call on this. Good luck but just be sure to do research.

No not really this unit has help up even till now yes I think like 2 of the switches on the throttle have stopped working but I worked around them now other then the throttle issue nothing much at all the rest work fine so fare ohh almost forgot the stick side button sometimes has issues where I have to find the sweet spot but mind you guys this unit has been through about 3000 hours of DCS flight multiple modules even choppers so all the switches and buttons are being used

the x52 rhino is shitty, though i owned it, somehow logitech's stuff feels shitty to me.. i have jumpy rudders, throttle, and the rotary knobs. my stick's side thumb (mini-stick) is also jumpy.

Bom dia, boa tarde, boa noite Comprei no MercadoLivre um Logitech X56 H.O.T.A.S. usado e ele apresenta um problema que muitos jogadores de DCS que o tem relata o mesmo problema dele acionar vários botões ao mesmo tempo SEM os tocar e isso é muito ruim no jogo, onde ele desliga a aeronave se você programa algum contactor (botão de pulso) para ligar a parte elétrica da aeronave, um outro para o trem de pouso e assim por diante e ele do nada em solo acionar para recolher o trem de pouso e danificar a aeronave ou desligar a mesma....
