The only thing he is right about, is harms of smartphones, social networks and other addictive software. Otherwise, he lacks epistemic humility to understand one's personal limitations on prognostication. Historically, Humanity was never able to guess that kind of stuff right.

He seems optimistic. We shall see what actually happens in the next two decades.

When people wake up and stop dancing around the question, whos driving technology and what's the purpose, we'll understand Ephesians 2:2: "In which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience"

I think he's got some things right, and missing so many others. The cell phone ban till 18 all good, though now, too late. The advances are truly going to be mind boggling. But, cancer, I believe, already solved. There are so many holes here. And as much as I try to stay away from the whole conspiracy thing we have to remember we are dealing with human greed. Do we think for a minute free energy will be free? Everything in society has been monetized, almost right down to the very air we breathe. Costs coming down? Does he shop for basic needs like food, shelter and clothing? Apparently he seems to be, like the politicians, a bit out of touch with what is going on and the fact all around the world prices are skyrocketing. As much as I appreciate the views put forth, there are some pretty big holes.
