Thank you because you pointed détails I never saw like scully smiling when coming out of the car :) Thé Escalator scene has haunted me for years. I used to watch x files when very young and that scene traumatized me so much I could not get on an escalator for years and now every time I take one I think about this scene. Each single time. It’s fantastic in a way. That scene is the reason why I got back into the x files : I wanted to see if it was still traumatizing and si was like « oh that’s okay » and then I rewatched the entire thing. When the ice tea turns out to be root beer you can see both relief and disappointment in both of them 'cause it's already love and a damn root beer isn't going to change that. "Mulder, I wouldn't put myself on the line for anybody but you." That my friends is the first time she says; Mulder, I love you. Candice is spot on though. Scully is a "Ride or Die" woman and I love her for that plus she is just warming up.

I kind of feel like GA and DD are the only reason M&S are as intense as they are, especially in season 1! I mean how many co workers after one year just implicitly trust each other AND can be on the same wave length like that? In your panel you kind of alluded to it when you asked David about the chemistry between him and Gillian. They just have an otherworldly chemistry, and it’s kind of spooky.

Their chemistry is defies explanation (perhaps soulmates just not together in this life) Photographers, producers, writers, and the two them say they can't explain it, but it is there. How wonderful that must be. So many TV shows and these two put all the other "chemistry" couples to shame.

That scene where she tells him she wouldn’t put herself on the line for anyone but him…I believe that’s when Mulders wall came down for Scully. I won’t say he was in love with her yet but there relationship changed after that. You can also see in his face just how shocked he was to hear those words. I think he spent so long being an outsider and being the joke of the FBI he couldn’t believe someone would have so much faith in him.
