The ending of this episode! I love the little squeak Scully admits right after eye contact with Mulder. As you mentioned, the hug is all encompassing. Very powerful moment for their relationship. Love these videos so much.

This episode is so creepy 😱😱 (just watched it for the first time - then went straight to your video), yet it has deep characterization moments and that is what makes XFiles one of the best series. The way they tell the story of how Scully is dealing with her recent trauma, while also telling the story about this freaky creepy man is just so well done.

Not gonna lie, I'm a SUCKER for a good ass hug. While watching the entity of the X-files I kept whispering at my screen "Please hug" cause the characters are just always going through so much shit, so they almost always deserve hugs between one another. So whenever they did hug I just felt so much happier to see the characters comforting each other. But the hug in this episode? Yes. Fucking. Yes. The way she wraps her arms around his middle? Literally no better way of hugging someone taller than you when you yourself need the comfort more than they do. Absolutely perfect.

(Legit was so mad that I didn't get a hug between Mulder and Scully when she woke up from her coma in season 2, but I know Scully went through a lot so maybe hugs weren't the proper thing to do when your body is just starting to heal from trauma. But after Mulders break down in his apartment, I really needed him to get some physical comfort from Scully.)

Mulder and Scully are apparently both Washington Redskins fans, as the team was known then. But this was never followed up in the writing, alas. Also, there's a scene where M&S, having had to miss the Vikings-Redskins game, walk into the Minneapolis field office -- just as the Vikings' Chris Carter is shown on TV scoring a touchdown. Clever, that.

Love this episode. Donnie P is one of the creepiest XFs baddies... well that was until they bought him back in season 7 and turned him into some cartoon baddie who was the literal devil / devil disciple. Yawn. That episode has no consequences either (like when Scully almost shoots Mulder) but this one does, the affect on Scully lasts a long time, so I like it a lot more.

This was the most uncomfortable X-Files episode for me, Home is a close one, but the atmosphere of this one was just dreary and depressing. Not only that, but this seems to be more grounded in realism considering there are people that do these sort of fucked up things. Except they don't shape-shift into demons.

I love this episode so much. Really so the girl had no reason not to drop the charges. Donnie hadn't really done that much to her apart from be a bit weird so she probably decided that it wasn't worth it. Bruh though I have no sympathy for Scully at all after Oregon. The fbi aren't above the law, and you can't enforce a law that you can't respect or adhere to. She should have gone to prison for murder, and she certainly shouldn't be allowed to work in a job like that. Nice video though even if I clearly have differing opinions on the characters.

Shaun Isaacs That I agree with it. Mulder and Scully were investigating reverend Orison, so when he was killed it was no longer up to them to stop Donnie, until he came back for her. Yes, he was monstrous and did a number on Scully, but I like that she was stronger in Orison and more bothered by the reverend this time and was ready to face Donnie for the most part. I like that it concludes that story even if it was unnecessary.
