Great tone, but you're playing the Bad Boys riff wrong. Look at how John plays the C# chord at 1:22. The 4th finger stays on the 7th fret of D as the first finger goes from 5 to 4 and back on the A string.

Not sure why he uses them on Bad Boys, but on Still of the Night he uses a volume swell to reproduce those strings / cello sounds. Tried that myself and it didn't even sound close to that though haha ;)
