But from the C64 Version. The Amiga version was different and more bad. The C64 version had also the great music from Chris Huelsbeck.

Yes! Yes! Yes! A prayer is answered - X-Out is one of my favourite games on the C64 - legendary now - the graphics, the intro, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the box artwork and the atmosphere - a titan resurfaces - bloody brilliant! If it had a c64 graphic option too that would be absolutely perfect. Gonna grab this for sure, both digital and physical if that happens too. Thank you!!!

Na die Grafik hat mich schonmal überzeugt. Endlich ruckelt es nicht bei vielen Sprites und Parallaxscrolling - das hatte das Original glaube ich nicht. Allerdings sollte man versuchen, den Originalsoundtrack soweit wie möglich beizubehalten, der hat und hatte doch immer seinen ganz eigenen Charm. Der muss für mich eben wie 80er Jahre Digisound klingen. Aber ist eben Geschmackssache

This was the first shoot em up I've beaten on my own, without hacks or cheats back in my Amiga when I was 10 years old. I loved that game. That said, I don't see any enhanced graphics at all. Why is this called a remake when it's obviously a remaster?

we never had cheats or hacks for it on the Amiga yet I was 18 and still beat the game. They didnt exist in Australia at the time and NO INTERNET then IN 1990

Also, if you want to understand how much piracy was part of the Amiga's dna, just look at the trailer which includes the trainer pre-loader which was the calling card of a pirated copy.

@@MediaManPowerThe sprites and tile graphics are kept from the Amiga game. We wanted to make it look as authentic as possible. There are a lot of lightning effects and parallax background layers to give it a fresh look. So mostly the upgrades are on the effect side.

Good choices there. Looking at Project X now though it does seem quite empty and basic compared to X-Out. Apidya was great, tough but great.
