Just in case you didn't know, that altitude restriction at Arch was 11000A. This means 11000 feet or above, the other restrictions are for example 11000, you MUST be at or within a few hundred feet of the altitude and also for example 11000B, this is 11000 feet or below. Just in case you didn't know :D
@POTKC7 жыл бұрын
11000A meant that you had to be at any altitude above 11000 feet. The VNAV profile on the MFD (or whatever it's called on the MD80) was showing that you were below profile, not above it. It works the same as a glideslope indicator.

Hi Jeff, I'm a commercial aviation enthusiast, and I study everything from pilot manuals and training materials to crew operating procedures. Unfortunately, I will never be able to pass a First Class FAA medical to fly since I was born three months premature, resulting in Cerebral Palsy and only partial vision in one eye. Thanks to generous flight crews, I've been able to visit the cockpit a few times on flights and talk to crews. I've flown the 737NG and A320 in the sim at home, but one of my biggest dreams would be to go to Atlanta and fly the 737 in the full flight simulator with Delta Airlines. Thanks for providing such amazing videos that help me foster my love of flight! PS: How do you know how to properly time your flare in the MD-88 so you begin to raise the nose at just the right moment?
