Good stuff. I miss that TV show. Wish you would have edited in the giant red orbs they used for rockets and missiles.

hrm.... airwolfs max ceiling is 89k feet. So if you could only get the vector slide to work above 90k feet you shouldn't have been able to pull it off. She would have stalled out.
@justwingitsa2 ай бұрын
I agree with you. Unless I preload stall conditions everytime, it's difficult to simulate the exact performance as seen on screen. It's a mission. However, friendly reminder, in season 3, Airwolf manages to max out at 100 000ft doing mach 2. It's the episode where Airwolf is chasing down a nuclear cluster missile. So the limited programming I modded is based on those figures.

@@justwingitsa fair enough, it's been years since I saw that episode in particular. she came a long way from season one when she struggled to go above 84,000 feet.

I suspect Airwolf was upgraded a few times. Also, I'm considering making this Airwolf model the South African version which of course would have different specs. I'm not sure if you're aware of the South African replica?
@luminaire49462 ай бұрын
@@justwingitsa Nope, only know the bell 222 is the type they used for the production. Never heard of a South African version. Though side question: Wouldn't the rotors even disengaged interfere with some maneuvers like barrel rolls? We never see Airwolf on screen do one. Curious as to how far the super science exemption goes.

I think they tried to imply a few times that Airwolf did the Cobra move. But, no, rotors don't prevent the ability to roll. A good example of this is seen with the Rooivelk helicopter which has been seen doing a roll and flip. The original idea was that Airwolf's rotors would become fixed (or swing-wings like a Tomcat or Tornado as an example) but due to restrictions in the 80's they had no real way of filming that. The other concept was Airwolf was supposed to have vector thrust as well

didn't know the lady had a HUD display
@justwingitsa Жыл бұрын
No. She doesn't. But she does have the helmets which by today's standards are far more superior then the normal HUD's. The F35 is the only aircraft that I know of that has the helmet mounted display tech. I wish I could modify this mod though. There are a few tweaks I would make. They have a version of Airwolf from the season 4 series with the upgraded avionics but its weapons are completely wrong. Anyway... Thanks for interacting with me.

I like to see Air wolf versus the US air force
@justwingitsa Жыл бұрын
Oooh... I think I might have done that one too... Or at least against some US aircraft. I've done so many videos I've already forgotten what I've done. I shall check what I have done and if I haven't done a full on AW vs USA video, I will endeavour to do it for you. Thank you for your comment though, I always appreciate the interaction.
