Nico! Your style of music is exactly what I want to play but I need help! Any suggestions on how to get started with surf and Billy? Easy song suggestions to learn? Right now I’m stuck with knowing a bunch of simple punk and metal riffs with chord shapes sprinkled in. Thanks for any help man. Love your channel and playing!

How about Duane Eddy Rebel Rouser, just a few notes but sounds cool, or Link Wray Rumble! 3 chords and a lead line. Just off the top of my head...

@@DEATHRAYCAT This is helpful. I'll give those a go. Hoping to get to a point soon where I can go through your lessons. They are awesome but I am not there yet. At least I can use them for inspiration! Thanks!

Hey brother A question What’s the pick up height on your pick ups? I set them to tv norm spec and whole the bass response and mids are amazing the highs, treble side are quiet
@DEATHRAYCAT3 жыл бұрын
So I went for the TV Jones advised height on the neck pick up. That thing sounds amazing to my ears. On the bridge I need put a spacer or shim in so I can get the pickup as close to the strings as advised, so I don’t think I have it perfect yet

@@DEATHRAYCAT oh ok I see I don’t have a ruler that measures in fractions so I have to convert to mm which seems easier On my bridge pick up I’m at 4mm basside 3.8 treble On the neck it’s about 5mm bass side to 4.7 treble side They do sound amazing I’m wondering since I got a streamliner instead of a electromatic if the standard tresle bracing is changing the way the pick up sounds because too me It straight up sounds like an amplified acoustic guitar which is nice but not quite what I was expecting them to sound like Like for example an electromatic has pins that go deep into the bracing so the rosewood (floating bridge) doesn’t really float and doesn’t really do anything acoustically but in the streamliner it’s little pins going into the the wood so the bridge is fully floated because the whole thing falls apart without strings but it’s easy to find where I started and keep the intonation the same Or maybe the pins only go into the top and not the bracing it self Not sure what it is but is significantly louder acoustically There’s also a huge difference acoustically in terms of bass and treble You should try them out specially the hard tail 2420 They are ridiculously good I went in the sam ash expecting to buy the rad rod and I left with the streamliner instead lol
