I just received my copy in the mail from BigBad, and I kinda blindly transformed him after watching another review video. I found he was pretty easy to transform for once, unlike other XTransbot figures most of which I think are over engineered. I had no problems with paint chipping. I even went back to look him over after watching your video.

I was also lucky with my paint and joints even after multiple transformations. You can push the back of the missiles and they pop forward a bit. Looks better, especially for the over the shoulder ones. I totally missed tabbing the feet in so thank you! That makes him much ore stable. I really liked this one although his head seems big to me. Maybe I’m too used to the toy I had as a kid? XTB is so hit or miss, but I really like having the Omnibots and I got a good copy (not so much with Giovanni).

( Man sorry to see you got one with paint problems ,I was heavy handed transforming mine and i got no paint problems and all the joints on mine are perfect on my copy

They got us again. I think i figured out why they're called KFC (XTB). They're like a fast food chain drive-thru. You're already going to be down the road before you realize they gave you some bad products. The pictures look great, and sometimes you get lucky. Thanks for the review

Mines awaiting shipping from ShowZ store. Fingers crossed its ok paint wise. Honestly if mine has severe paint chipping I may ask XTb for a replacement. I have their perceptor-its lovely but I had to replace the arm after it broke in transformation. Fioraventi i love. Only the feet are a bit floppy yet in some positions they become very stable.... odd.

Too bad on the paint chipping. I got mine a few days ago and got lucky with no chips. Looks like he's staying in robot mode forever. Thanks for the review!

Thank you for the video. I think the arms are a bit mistransformed. The doors fold in and compress more. My copy was tight and the paint was ok, no chips with few transformation.

I've had my Downshift for a week...I've had no paint chipping, no loose joints, no joint inconsistancies. I guess its just hit or miss. but mine is near perfect.

Oh wow, sorry that you got a bad copy. I've transformed mine several times now and it's still looking good. Might want to see if you can get a replacement, if they give a replacement for paint chipping.

yeah, i'm kinda done with xtb myself. i have the delta magnus repaint coming in, but after that, i'm probably set.

I'm with you on the swearing off XTB products. Might pick up a Commander Stack as that seems to be well regarded and will wait for reviews on their version of a Nightbeat if it ever comes out but otherwise I'm done. Just not enough quality for what you pay for and tbh all of their carbots seem to have poorly designed, aesthetically at least, feet. Nice review and it helped me decide against this guy.

I stopped buying X-transbots after the 4th Stunticon before they released Motormaster, because the waist fully broke on the Deadend and they never ever sent me the replacement parts. It was not my fault at all, it literally broke on the softest hip joint clean off and there was no way it wouldn't have happened. They make beautiful looking figures and the quality is almost there, but I'm done with having to force bending plastic panels or paint chipping or transformations that take over an hour to do simply because they opted for an unsafe transformation.

I didn’t realize you reviewed this guy. To me it looks terrible from every angle except dead on in robot mode. Hollow as a honeycomb. It’s only saving grace is it’s alt mode, which I think we can all agree looks good. Typical quality, I’m with you, I’m done with XTB I think. I just transformed my Locke and his leg broke off at the hip slider. The paint on his die cast thighs was already chipping and fading away. I can only think of a couple XTB figures I haven’t had problems with. The ab crunch on their Ironhide and ratchet are flimsy garbage, the arm on their magnus will fall off, I think I’m done. Great review as always

That paint chipping sucks! I've transformed mine a few times and had no problem. However, when I got this, I also went to transform my Fioravanti and his entire foot fell off! Be very careful with that screw the holds it on. The plastic there is VERY thin.

XTB makes cool car modes. It’s a shame they consistently have QC problems.

Yeah Xtransbots is very hit and miss. I hate Fiorvirantis feet. So Im glad they improved on this one. My copy didn’t have any chipping… yet. I just didn’t like the gap between the body. Great Review!!! Has anyone figured out how to flip the panel on the hood yet?

Yeah you have to pull the leg out before flipping. It's only use is the faction logo tho

I have been super picky about xtb stuff for years now. If I think FT is going to make something better then I wait. Though I do get very tempted with Youth versions.

I had already decided to stop buying x-transbots but when they announced the omnibots I had to give them a Chance. I bought Fioravanti, and once more again it's a mixed bag, just like most of their previous releases. So I cancelled the other two omnibots preorders and bid x-transbots farewell

I swore off XTB after their Stunticons, my Drag Strip's shoulders broke twice and Dead End's white chest paint come off if you stare at it long enough. I did get their Punch/Counterpunch, Runabout and Runamuck only because nobody else plans on releasing them. Those are ok but have the most common XTB issue, ugly or just plain bad feet. Runamuck is the best of those 3. Punch/Counterpunch is ok, but Runabout has legs that won't rotate. I bought Fioravanti and had to sell it. It was assembled incorrectly and it was very obvious in car mode. People are saying that their Long Haul is good but I refuse to give them another chance. We should all stop buying their crap, maybe then they'll do something about it. The notion that XTB is competition to Fans Toys or MMC is an absolute joke. They know this too, that's why they are hitting exclusive characters so much lately.
