The trains in Melbourne are rough. Their suspension is very bouncy and the trains sway from side to side.

its a shame the xtrapolis are the only trains running on the burnley and clifton hill group lines, it would be nice if some hcmt or comeng were introduced onto the lines

@victorianvlogsofficial Well, they are Coradia Stream's, not X'tropolis trains. They are seen as one of the best trains in the Netherlands at the moment. From LED mood lighting, power sockets, USB ports, comfortable seats, good ride quality, more reliability, and more, these trains are a great addition to the fleet. We have added 30 extra ICNG's to our order with 20 of those for an extra 3Kv DC capability to be able to go to Belgium and 10 with a 15Kv AC capability to be able to go to Germany.

The Xtrapolis seems to primarily be built for suburban commuter systems (ie S bahn, LIRR and RER style systems) whereas the Coradia range has primarily been built for regional, local and interregio/intercity trains, (ie DB Regio, Several branch lines, NJ Transit and the alike)

Glad the xtrap 2.0 will have airbag suspension like any half decent suburban train from the last 50 years should. Xtrap 100 suspension is horrid and a terrible fit for Melbourne tracks. Dont blame Alstom for that, I blame Connex for being cheapskates and Kennett for letting them run the network.
