Another thing with Biggs, is you want to build your squad so he can last. R2-F2, Stealth or shield upgrades. Guys like Lando, Garven, or Kyle Katarn who can give a focus to him so that it stacks with R2-F2.

MrFroggies, the inventor of Frog Squadron has spoken. And i agree. Also in cases where the rest of your squadron have better firepower than Biggs, you actually want them tobe unharmed until he goes down. I am talking about Wedge ot Ten Numb for example. Agreed, with Biggs you have even more Attacks, but i would still want them to be intact when Biggs dies, so they are less prone to onehits or too careful manoeuvering the turns after.

Another thing i saw that'S worth saying is to have Bigg behind an asteroid. His friends take quality shots while the other player have to take obstructed shots.

something i do with biggs is give him R2-D2 and shield upgrade. good? bad?

Do one or the other; not both. If you do both you're sinking too many points in one ship, which is going to be the first ship that will go down.

Biggs Darklighter + R2-F2 + shield upgrade................ worth every point!!! run him with ur heaviest hitters, its a tactic that has not failed me often. any tactic in this game can be overcome by the luck/unluck of the dice, but for the most part it is a very good option i've found

Yes, that's right, in part, but if you put too many points in him, that you could put on someone else, he becomes a points sink. You want him to attract attention, but not take all the heat of the attacks. If you have ships split fire between him and other ships, both Biggs and your other ships will live longer.

The point of Biggs is to take fire that the enemy player would prefer to direct elsewhere. If you build him to NOT be taken down, that means he keeps filling that role for longer. If you play him so he doesn't get taken down quickly, as this video explained, he does his job longer. Saying his job is to die is doing it wrong, if this video is to be believed. His job, while it will usually end in death, is to make landing ANY kill (on him or someone else) a lot more time consuming. Making him tough and being able to force enemies to attack him when you want them to is good. If he needs to recover, back him off for a turn, then bring him back in close to bodyguard his allies.
