Spiderman and the X-Men movies were the first to really show the strength these characters in a movie context. And, let's not forget, as influential as those movies were, they still had lines like "It's you who's out Gobby. Out of your mind." To push the point even further, have you seen Marvel characters nowadays? If this scene were made today, Wolverine would be a meek, bumbling jerk and Ice Man would be Ice Woman berating him for being in her presence. Sad thing is that this really isn't exaggerating that much. The decade in which a movie is made is very relevant.

This is such a nice little scene; asking a friend for a low-effort favor is so remarkably normal, and these kinds of interactions add a lot of depth to the characters. The fact that Ice is clearly used to using his abilities for small conveniences gives him more of a background; it implies that he's actually lived a life, experimented with his abilities, and figured out what kinds of things he can do, big or small. Logan's nonverbal request for a cold drink is really illustrative of his practical personality; he knows what he wants, he figures Ice will know what he wants, and will know how to make it happen. It's these mundane moments that make characters seem more like real people.
