I have a question. basically I want to use my midas 32r as an 8 channel analog summing mixer out of logic pro x. looks like I should be able to come out of the main lxr outs and go right back into the main inputs using regular xlr cables. I have logic and want to go usb out into the midas m32r. I want to take 4 stereo sub mixes of a song I'm mixing and send them out the 8 main xlr outs on the mixer. I want the audio routed out the xlr outs 1-8 (left and right x 4) and to bring them right back into the first 8 xlr mic pre ins using regular mic cables. I then want to record those 8 channels to the sd card I have in the expansion bay (x-live expansion card). I am hoping the Midas Mic pres add a little magical coloration to the sound. I'm just not sure if this would even work. what are the basic steps?

Just wondering how to route previously recorded audio tracks from my DAW to play back thru the X32 so I can then overdub a track? I want to hear for example: an mp3/wav on track 10 and be able to record all the other tracks. Or, if the band has recorded a take, to be able to hear everything except a guitar that we want to re-do, and then record that guitar along with the other tracks.... it's driving me crazy as to how to do this... Hi ZavaSound, thank you for this great video. I have a question about routing. Is it possible to use a X32 Rack + S16 together as pre-amps and outputs for an X32/M32 console? I recently tried this where I wanted to assign an X32 rack through an AES50 A from my FOH console, and then extend with 16 IP's and 8 outs with an S16 that is assigned from Port B of the X32 rack. I got all my inputs running from both pre-amps, but the 8 S16 outs wouldn't react. There is no sync problems, and x32rack is set to sync through AES50 A. I routed X32 (FOH console) outputs: 1-8: AES50 A 1-8, 9-16: AES50 A 9-16. On the XLR tab on the X32 rack I have chosen my 8 outputs to be: 1-4 AES50A, 5-8, AES50A. As I understand, the only thing I'm missing now to send the AES50 A 9-16 to the S16, is through the AES50 B output tab on the X32 rack. And is it correct that I should configure it so that AES50 B outputs 9-16 are assigned as AES50 A 9-16? I have chosen the S16 to be +8 (9-16) on the S16 rack. I'm struggling to understand if I have done something wrong or if this simply isn't possible? I'm unfortunately not getting any sound out of my S16 1-8's, which should configure as 9-16 from my FOH console. Can you help me with this?

Great run through! Just thought I'd add a point. When using the x32 as an interface, setting the card outs to local 1-8, 9-16 etc, sends the signal out of the card DIRECTLY after the pre amp. None of the eq or dynamics can be used. If you want to eq or use dynamics on the x32 before it goes out, switch the card outs to the P16 outs and choose post fader. The whole channel strip can be used if desired. I don't do a lot to the channels pre send, but a little gating and filtering can clean up the tracks a bit. Cheers

Drew Brashler did the video where I learned this. I believe you have to do one more step to assign the inputs themselves to the P16. Watch Drews video if you want step by step.

@@66fitton I think what you mean for the last step is, after assigning the outs to P16 post fader, then you change the card out to P16 instead of card or local this means the card takes it source from the P16 post fader you have just routed.

I have adobe audition connected via usb and driver is installed. i have it set to usb and 32in/32out in board. I got it setup in audition and mapped to all 32 channels but im only getting levels on 25-32. If i go to card out tab under routing, i have outputs column 1-8 set to local 1-8, outputs column 9-16 set to local 9-16, outputs column 17-24 set to local 17-24, outputs column 25-32 set to local 25-32. But if i remap those columns so column 1 is AES50 A1-8, column 2 is AES50 A9-16, column 3 is local 17-24, column 4 is local 25-32 then i get levels on all channels including 1-12 which is instruments. Am i missing something?

@ZaVa Sound, Thanks for the video! I'm having an issue with the AUX out configuration on my church's X32, and I'm hoping you can provide some guidance. I'm using AUX out 1 and AUX out 2 to provide audio for our church's live stream. I have Main L and Main R routed to AUX out 1 and AUX out 2, and they're both set on Post Fader, yet I'm still getting channels which are muted coming through the Aux out stream on those two channels. When I originally had this issue, the AUX out 1 and AUX out 2 were both configured as Pre Fader, and I had hoped that moving to Post Fader would fix it, but it didn't. Any guidance?

Is there a reason you are using the aux outputs? Check the pick points of the 2 channels that are bleeding through... they are probably still set to pre.

If I want my livestream sent to obs via card usb, do I just setup a mix bus to b sent out the card out and just select a group of 8 outs and go to that output and select the bus as that out? And if I do would that effect the group of 8 inputs as well?

Hi, how i can config the output 9-16 from my x32 compact to a Stagebox Midas D16? I can only mirror the Output 1-8 to the output from the D16.... But i want to use it as an extended Output.. I want to this Config: Behringer x32 compact = XLR Out 1-8 MIDAS D16 = XLR Out 9-16 But in the XLR Tab only 1-8 appears.

Im using my X32 in my project studio and I cant manage to get the dedicated monitor output into stereo its mono only so I cant pan. The pan LR is engaged but I only get sound from both speakers when panned left and nothing when panned right. What am I doing wrong or missing?

We are looking at getting the Midas M32 soon. We currently use Aviom personal monitor mixers with our analog mixer. Would you recommend we get a DL32 and use the 16 outputs as direct outs for the Aviom or swapping out the Aviom and going with P16’s? Price is about the same ($1400 for the P16’s we’d need and $1400 for the DL32). Also, does using the 16 outputs on the DL32 as direct outs still allow you to use the 16 local XLR outputs on the console for whatever you want (monitor mixes, Main L/R, etc...)?

When using a sub in LR plus mono config, do I assign to a bus like a monitor, or is there a specific output used for mono to sub?

Card output. Set the channels you want to record to the card output. For example for stage box recording. Card 1-8 should be aes50 1-8 etc.

Hello. Maybe someone here can help me figure out an issue I had the other day. On a gig running a small foldback setup, had an issue where each time I tried sending a channel to a monitor wedge the signal came up in all the wedges and also the mains. I know that the mix busses did not have the Stereo button engaged. Further more, this was not the case when sending house music to mains and wedges, which was coming in to the console via 1/4" Aux inputs. LED indicators showed that only one Mix Bus was receiving signal, and that the mains and Matrices where receiving signal (I know that the Matrices would receive signal from the mains but don't know why the mains would receive a signal with the Stereo button not engaged). Also don't know why signal turns up in all the wedges even though LED meters only show it going to one mix. I also use the same scene every night at a club I work for. The only thing I needed to do was reroute the board so that it functioned via Analog Inputs and Outputs, as I use a DL32 Stage Box at the club. Can someone help me understand if it is possible to have that issue due to routing issues or if the console was acting "buggy?"

Is it possible to Connect the x32 with a si Expression with one aes50 cable? I need this set Up just for one show. My Plan is to use the x32 as foh Mixer and the si Expression as Monitor Mixer and to split the signals with the AES50 Output of the x32.

I need to run 2 LR outputs for 2 sets of speakers from my x32 rack. When I set the channel strips up like this they are linked (LRx2) is there another way I can rout the outputs or set up the main out channel strips so they work independently?

Greetings. You should be able to route the Main L+R to Matrices and have independent control of the level of each of those L+R sends. You can also set independent delays for those outputs if need be. remember to route the Matrices to physical outputs. You can select Pre/Post for the send to the Matrix from the Main Bus if you want the level of the Main Bus to effect the levels sent to the Matrices or not.

I have an x32 with 2 s16 stage boxes, I’m setting up the s16 as a stage left box and stage right,I know that the 15 and 16th outputs on the s16 boxes become the main outputs when everything is connected, is there anyway to split those outputs so they come out of the boxes on their respective sides of the stage?

You would be best to use a matrix... send L&R to matrix 1&2 - then setup the matrix to be outputted to a pair of unused xlr outputs... then send those to video land... this way you can eq/compress and have separate levels for that send

Yes! Assign them like you would on a full size X32. All X32 consoles have identical processing capabilities, regardless of physical I/O.

@@bryant.9543 with the new firmware you have the rec/play option. you can use all channels as input or as usb return then, and change within a click. probably the simplest way. but since you can route most of everything on the x32 you do your own custom routing, like I wrote in the comment above ;)

You have to press the pre fader button on your bus. ( or if you are routing out from a matrix then of course from the Matrix) it's located when you press select on the cannel under Home-> config and then it should be on the bottom left . If you that you can select the Bus and per "set on fader" you can set different levels to your Monitor mixes and your main speaker.
