A few things that krav maga system would use here would be taking the opportunity to hit the face with the right hand as you're stepping in, later when getting up from the ground it would be done while using kicks

Right Elbow to the chest it looks like with that cover frame you guys use. I see Red Beard threw a knee in at 1:55.
@tritacacademy6 жыл бұрын
Yes, we displayed the "Frame 1" Entrance that we use because it is a very simple way to enter in from a punch attack. ... and yes "Red Beard" (Me / Matt Bryers) threw a little knee-knock in there to off-balance and disrupt opponents structure.

Are you trying to say our pronunciation is wrong?? If so, who gives a fuck. If you do, then we're probably not the best channel to follow. :)

@@tritacacademy English pronunciation of japanese words is always "wrong", maybe, i don't know, because is another fucking language, i speak spanish and is the same . Anyway, very nice drill.

If he was strong, give him a blow to my elbow and push his face down is very easy to takedown

Why would you be standing over the guy then willingly drop into side control? You already have the advantage. That is MMA not self defence.
@tritacacademy6 жыл бұрын
Hey Richard, this is a training flow.... Not a "fight scenario"; so we're dropping into side control so that the person on the bottom can escape
@richardturner15796 жыл бұрын
TRITAC Academy yes it is but it’s still mainly MMA based rather than self protection based.
@tritacacademy6 жыл бұрын
What's the difference? Are MMA concepts somehow lacking in self-defense?
@jimlowe54334 жыл бұрын
@@tritacacademy I think the confusion came from the title, " x5 Beginner Jiu-Jitsu Techniques for Self-Defense." As you stated 5 different types of attacks, but there wasn't any mention of what you demonstrated as a flow drill.
