It's the Tavor21 (it's even stamped on the receiver), not TAR21. The TAR21 is the full auto version.

I like the extra rail space of the X95, but the mag release of the Tavor21 is so much better. The bar managing the mag release on the X95 can get frozen, or full of crud. The Tavor21 also accepts the Podium, which was a deal breaker for me. The X95 can't take the Podium, so if you want a bipod, you need to sacrifice your bottom rail, which I use for a forward grip on my Tavor21

tar 21 mag release is better till you accidently hit it in the middle of a firefight, lol. awful location for a mag release , me think.
@Trooper5992 жыл бұрын
@@gnutzguy If you hit the mag release in the middle of a firefight, that's a you problem, and not the mag release problem lol.. Do you realize how many people accidentally released their mags and they dropped during parade with the C7? Again, not a rifle issue... It's a human issue ;)

@@Trooper599 yup, my problem cos I'm dead in a firefight. Lol. I don't know how many c7 , way after my time but I could tell how many with a fn c1a1? Zero.

@@gnutzguy its difficult for me to deliberately press the mag release on the tavor let alone by accident due to the mag release being narrowed and you have to bend your wrist in an unnatural position to get it into the space directly behind the trigger. the mag release spring is also quite strong and takes quite a bit of force to press down.
@gnutzguy Жыл бұрын
@@kevinforget549 lol. You need practice. The people who compete says they prefer the tavor21 cos it's easy to release the mag , simply moving their hand rearwards.

Thanks for posting side by side comparison one of the biggest difference I noticed is the Length of Pull or LOP... TAR-21 (SAR) seem to have much longer LOP.
@gnutzguy Жыл бұрын
There is an optional skinny buttplate for the x95 that will reduce the LOP further.
@sylvan47070 Жыл бұрын
Doesn't seem. Absolutely does. Look at the gap between the hand grip and mag well. Its at least 1.5" longer LOP

having shot both I can say that the the tar21 is a very solid weapon, the x95 is improved but not vastly. it is a matter of preference as to the mag release, but in actual performance the rifles are very close. I do like the look of the c95 much better. the t97 is less accurate by orders of magnitude is less reliable and the only similiarity is that its a bullpup.
@gnutzguy3 жыл бұрын
yes, i dont see why the performance shouldnt be close but i have to disagree that the X95 is not vastly improved.

After viewing my SAR21 (US gun) it’s trigger pack and bolt carrier group are identical to your X95 with the exception of the additional cuts exposing the recoil spring. My guess is they were changes required by the ATF for import in the US. IWI probably made it universal for the civilian X95s for simple sales logistics.
@gnutzguy2 жыл бұрын
you describe the type A bolt , quite different than my type B bolt. please see my bolt disassembly vid.
@rhaynesify2 жыл бұрын
@@gnutzguy no according to your videos it would be the Type B bolt, with the exception the slots exposing the recoil spring as I mentioned before. My recoil spring can be taken down as the Type A style, but everything else is Type B.

see this vid kzbin.info/www/bejne/laraYp-aa8p_hZo . Type B has no slots and the buffer do not move freely. also check my vid on X95 micro disassembly, there are a brief explanation. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6SmeaGZiMSqmrc

i use a shotgun brush. unfortunately, both are not perfect, x95 could improve the gas system and t97 could improve the FCG. im not a big fan of striker firing system.

In the years I've owned and shot my M4, I've never cleaned the gas system. BCG sure, but the actual gas tube, never. Gun runs fine, the gas system is largely self cleaning.

The X95 looks better but the SAR-21 is a better design. Only one transfer bar to get fouled with mud instead of two. The X95 was intended to be shorter but the civilian gun is not. Bully puppies have more cons than pros from someone who has been running an SAR-21 for almost ten years.

@@georgeyuan9833 technically speaking, it should cos it's basically a bolt action with less moving parts. I believe the barrel will take a bit longer to heat up cos a bit of gas will not return back into the bore, this is minimal.
