A lead song sung by Danny de Munk for a classic Dutch 1986 movie: Ciske de Rat (Ciske the rat). It's about a young boy during the 1930s crisis trying to survive his abusive mother.

First song is from a very well known movie in the Netherlands. It was song by the kid actor ( at the time, it is an old movie 😉) who was the main lead , Danny de Munk, now most know for musicals. This song is from a family movie from the 80's. With a lot of drama inside and about a poor family after the war trying with a child being "alone in the world". This year they do 20 concerts, with only Tuesdays off. This is the last week. You would certainly like it, as Danny Vera is there every night with his entire orchestra and back up singers. He also does duets. Tonight they'll stream the entire live concert to a paid tv-channel. Fun fact about Danny: for everyone involved they arranged hotel accommodation nearby, but he goes home every night to be with his family. It is approx. a 1 hour drive.
