Has anyone come across after installing the 3012 getting AC power in but no AC power out on a boat? I am completely stumped. If you have, please contact me and tell me how you fixed it.

Hi there , i have a bank of 4 - 6v 220 amp hour -deep cycle butteries. 2 connected in series and then ( 2 sets of 2 )-12v in parallel . to create 12v-440amp I am looking to get an inverter and a charger , and this one looks like a nice pic ! My question is : Is this product will be capable to charge this 4 butters over night if I'm not discharging the butteries less then 50% ?

+B & B Locksmith Inc I assume you are talking about using an AC source to charge the batteries through the inverter's built in charger. If you have a 12V 440Ah battery bank, and use 50%, you need to refill 220Ah each night. The Freedom SW 2012 can charge at a rate up to 100A, and the SW3012 can charge up to 150A, so you should have no problem recharging over night. Depending on your batteries, I'd set the charge rate at about a C10 rate, for a 440Ah battery bank, that's 44A (440Ah / C10 = 44A), so it'd take 5 hours to recharge (44A x 5 hours = 220Ah). Check the manual of your batteries to see what C rate they prefer, how fast or slow they want to be charged.

are suggesting not to use these inverters for a critical loads panel for a house? john
@AltEStore9 жыл бұрын
+Rev John O'Toole That's correct. The Xantrex Freedom inverter/charger is not UL1471 listed for the house, only UL458 for mobile uses, like boats, RVs and trucks. For use in your house, a better option would be the Schneider Conext SW inverter/charger. It is UL1741 listed for home use.
