@@Adirtan Naaaaah. I've been playing WoW for 20 years + 1 year in beta. The game was set up to where you had talk with people and a reputation that would follow you around. It wasn't as easy to hit level cap back then and it surely wasn't as easy to get good gear, so your words and actions, no matter how populated the server was, followed you. You were stuck talking with people to do *anything at all*. Social anxiety? Get over it, because you needed to talk on Ventrilo or Teamspeak to raid, but to even get in those raids, you had to talk with people, organize things, get stuff straight manually. There was enough local interaction to even form blacklists for people who were toxic in raid. There was no meeting stone, group finder, flying. Nothing. The game now runs on autopilot in comparison to how it was then.

When I was 16 in 2005, I was the GM of a PvP guild. At some points my parents were tired of me playing the game, and I couldn’t afford to pay my subscription. There was a dwarf hunter in my guild, who was the dad of 2 kids and was 35 years old, that I was helping pretty often in the game. he offered to pay a whole year for me! I couldn’t believe it at the moment, I miss these type of genuine connection with people! For Mingle!

It's kinda funny how that happens. I was 18 in 2005 and had similar issues, or rather my life was super unstable at the time. These days, I'm the old guy in his late 30s, and I've had a few guildies, a few raid guys who were in my shoes now, young and broke, can't afford the game, both in Wow and FF14. So I would cover their subs from time to time. $15 doesn't mean the world to me like it did back then. It feels good being able to do that for people when they need it. When they're older maybe they'll pay it forward to some struggling guy just wanting to have a little fun in a game they love

I live in FL and my ex of 2 years was born in Venezuela and came here when she was 12. Her Dad used to have a gov job but they had to leave suddenly because he lost his job and was afraid he was about to get thrown in jail. I’d often see her WhatsApp calling with family and hear about how terrible the conditions are for her people over there. Literally if you were sick and would go to the hospital your family would need to go out and buy like basic hospital supplies we have here like syringes or medicine if they wanted you to receive it. Despite the country having oil, the government keeps it all and does nothing for most its people. This is why I don’t care when I see people speaking Spanish in trade chat or recruiting for Latin guilds. Like I’m happy they have a place to play if there aren’t Latin servers or they’re kinda dead or something. Or if they’re in the US and their English isn’t good and they want a community for themselves. Wow is about playing a game with a community. People yelling at them in trade chat for speaking Spanish are just racist aholes

What an awesome video, being from South America I can tell you it's rough getting a good PC around here, things costs too much and most jobs make little money so it's really nice seeing this. You are such a pillar of the community of wow Xar and I hope Mingle achieves his dreams of streaming with this help.

Probably my all time favorite Xar video. Tons of laughs, and overall, a happy ending. Love to see somebody with blessings turn around and help others. Good job community and Xar.

Also Hozi you sly mfer. That wasn't what he said, but your trolling ended up in him getting a hook up lmao. He never asked for the PC upgrade 🤣🤣🤣

He has a Venezuelan accent so it's more than likely that he's making a living and not just bothering the alliance. Also at 20:20, he wasn't asking for a computer, he was saying that he wanted to also become a streamer like @Xaryu, but his computer is not good enough. Would be cool if he can get a new setup!

This is one of the best videos I’ve seen in a long time. And that’s why I consider you one of the top streamers that I follow. You could’ve cut and run and let the story dwindle at any point. But you turned it into a wonderful story and you gave it the happiest conclusion.Bravo.

This is Crazy Xar. The value of the Venezuelan bolivar has been in decline due to inflation. In 2017, the bolivar lost 98% of its value, and in 2018, it was worth less than the in-game currency of WoW.

@@brandonfullarton-ward1250 The only mentally ill one is you. Your mind works in a very twisted and depressing way.
