Remix has been amazing for me as a casual gamer. I get to prep a bunch of 70s and think of what classes to play for TWW. I didnt intend to play a healer in the expansion but my wow mop remix mistweaver healer is really fun so far 😅

Totally agree man, i was actually so heated about it. Ended up making two mop remix and after those i made a 3rd in retail which ended up leveling faster than the mop remix characters AND i get to play my 3rd character and don't have to wait another 75 days before getting access to them.

@@joyo1994 you can only level a character from 10-70 with help from a booster or multiple wow accounts. If you are truly leveling solo it takes like 6-8 hours… still very fast but if cloak actually carried over as said originally, it would be down to 2-3 hours solo.

took me around 9 days or so to get to max ilvl, I was doing all dailies, all WB and all raids on heroic, never did any farm at all of mobs or spamming anything, I just did everything once each day

You can hit 70 in less than 5 hours, 8 tops, if you do it right. Run heroics straight away, and don't loot the bosses. Run normal raids when you hit 25. Don't loot bosses. For both of them: Go into your mail, pull out the XP threads, use those, and leave the bonus XP from the bosses.. Repeat until you are at TOES. Run that normal, do the same with the bosses. Get the XP threads out again. If this is not your first cloak, you will have less XP bonus, but if it is your second toon, you should be around 250% depending on how many heroics you ran. Open all of the bonus XP now. You should be at level 60 at this point. Run Throne and SOO normal, loot the bosses and the Bonus XP, by that time you should be hitting 70. And don't worry about normal raids. If you don't see one not asking for stupid ilevel numbers, start your own. lower level toons hit hard. They usually run pretty fast. You can be done in less than 5 hours easily. I know Hazelnutty has a video on it, probably far better than my description. Also, you DON'T have to redo the achievement to get the jewelry for alts. That's incorrect info. I don't understand people who want to gear up toons, honestly. There is really no point, it is here to boost toons for basically free, and get the mounts and xmog you want. So do that. If you feel the need to raid in what ISN'T Mists classic, go ahead.

I enjoy MoP Remix. Yes, it has issues: - It's annoying that the cloak only gives alts a bit of power and isn't just accountwide - Tt's annoying that the gems are not tradeable with your alts - Tthat the gems are linked to the items itself and not the slots so you have to remove them and put them on new gear each time - It's sad that everyone can get the rare items people farmed for many years - The gearing process between frog etc. grinder and normal player is really annoying. - The cloak should NOT give bonus experience at max level but bonus bronze. So 300% xp bonus changes to 300% bronze bonus at level 70 - Upgrading gear on alts should be much cheaper, the same rate as new gear on one account costs to upgrade when you already upgraded an item in that slot. - The scaling while leveling up is a bit weird but that also is an issue in retail - Class balance while leveling is also not that great. My fury warrior did zero damage but my destro warlock oneshotted everything etc. But other than that the game mode makes fun. Also yeah the timing was an issue. MoP remix, retail, classic, classic sod, classic cata, retail beta. Quite overwhelming. But MoP Remix-wise it has a lot of potential and just needs adjustments. Also I'm one of the biggest twinker in WoW. I've nearly 80 level 70 characters, over 150 in total, over 1500 days played and roughly 8000 total level and yes, leveling in MoP Remix is MUCH, MUCH faster than leveling in retail. I leveled 5 character in MoP remix and it's extremely fast. Only from level 67 to level 70 it's a bit slower but still multiple times faster than retail. It takes 2 dungeons for one level in MoP remix roughly. Also if you don't loot the experience bonusses from the bosses and stack the experience bonus of your cloak you can then pick the experience up from the mailbox and level even faster. The scaling at level 67 to 70 in terms of surviving is bad tho because you usually only have 200-250k life and random aoe hits you can't avoid do nearly as much damage. So MoP remix is a good first version of remix. I hope blizzard learned what they could make better and give us more remixes. What I hope the most is that we don't get everything (especially mounts) that easy tho.

When you explained your model example at 23:50 if they did a legion remix I just want to share my experience with MOP remix. I played MOP remix EXACTLY how you are describing it. I logged on every day for 3-4 weeks did all the dailies, got all the achievements and did all of the raids multiple times in a day. On average I probably spent around 6-8hrs a day grinding during this time. This level of grinding is not for the average individual who has a job, family, or other daily needs. Personally, I did not do the frogs, goats or whatever farms people were coming up with. But on my journey I did enjoy having a frogger on my squad to carry me through the instance. I think the real issue is what blizzard has always done with their content is they try to artificially time gate their content. Rather than just making the content fun and enjoyable they design their product all around how they can make a user sign up for another month of subscription service.

Whats unreasonable is that people that were interested in trying it and getting all of the items you can collect requires an insane amount of time investment especially for people that are invested into cataclysm or retail or sod etc. It should be reasonable to get all of the gear with a few weeks of simply dailies you shouldn't have to do 3 raids a day every day for weeks no one has that time to invest.

If you want all the new mounts: level one character and say as much bronze as possible. then when you hit 70, you can buy almost all of the new mounts with the bronze earned.

I think the take in the Preach video is wrong concerning the time things take. I missed the first week so no frogs or other stuff. It took me about 2 Weeks to get to the item level cap and with the knowledge I have now, It could have been significantly faster. Yes you need more then 1-2 hours a day, while gearing up. ( I probably played 5 on average) But 90 days should be more then enough even for casual players. Now as many ppl are on on high item level the heroic raids take about the same time as LFR. You spend more time running then actually fighting the bosses. I agree it is still not great game design doing the same content every day. But making about 60k bronze in 90min each day, makes it trivial to buy all the mounts/transmogs you want. And ignoring powerfantasy, transmogs and mounts: Remix is great for players that want to move to a different server or faction or returning players. With very little investment you are able to prepare for the next expansion.

Remix has been a blast. I have leveled like 8 characters, with 2 of them being halfway to ilvl cap. I have purchased about 70-80% of all the cosmetics. Cleared all the raids on all difficulties. Done most of the zone achievements for the cosmetics. All I have left are the LFR ensembles, dread wastes meta, and kunlai meta. It hasn't been perfect though. I had several initial complaints like the jewelry unlocks and early thread acquisition. The jewelry is now account wide and the daily quests, world bosses, and other sources drop spools. The cost to upgrade your gear to max ilvl is steep but the power reward is worth it and very noticeable even after just a couple rounds of upgrades. It takes about a week and a half to two weeks to fully max a character if you focus on it. My final remaining complaints are just that it would be nice if alts got a discount on ilvl upgrades, it doesn't need to be 90% like the other discount but even 40-50% would be fantastic, and that some of the ensembles are broken for people that already earned parts before the event (blizz said they are working to fix this one).

IMO how they fumbled MoP Remix was doing it when cata was coming out for 2 reasons. 1. Its overlapping 2. Its caused people to doubt / argue about if they are doing or even should do MoP Classic and if MoP is "Classic" or if "Classic" just means "Past Expansions for the purpose of video game preservation for profit" (Which would lead to wondering if they will eventually reset back to classic and go again at some point)

Regarding the active time that remix is live, I think the three-months have not been set because they intended to sustain the player for that entire time. In my opinion and from another perspective, I rather believe that the goal was to give players a chance to take part in the experiment and therefore make it (more) fair in case they'd be busy and offline for multiple weeks.

bruh when i went near BiS i had to run Snoreghast every week so i could craft the legendary on other slots when the BiS was in vault.. and i played actively 4 chars. That was the biggest gold and fun sucker ive ever seen in any game.

Frog farm was not a problem for players.. it was a problem for retention. I might have played remix eventually.. but i def wont now that the frogs are gone. Time used to reveal the best strategies in games.. now devs just see retention issues and nerf everything.

One false assumption: Only Froggers cloaks got nerfed. That's not true, everyones cloak, that was seen as "unreasonable" high, got nerfed. So even people who did grind only raids/wbs/dailies and stuff found their cloak down - if they were above a certain threshold. I know that because I didn't frog farm, got the extra bonus bronze but my cloak was very high... until it dropped back to 25k Stam and rest 2.5k Stats.

One the two currency thing for gear upgrades and cosmetics: have an exchange option once you max out gear. That would fix most of the gear/cosmetic issues.

i did back to back leveling on 3 characters. i did a monk and a priest in MoP Remix and then made a DK on retail after and my DK got to max level SO much faster than my MoP remix characters. ALSO i still do not understand why people are still playing MoP remix or what exactly people are expecting to get out of it. I didn't touch a single frog and in the process of leveling two characters have already purchased nearly every mount and bought every armor set i personally wanted (around 20-25 armor sets).

If you have 0 of the mounts it's like 560k bronze just for that then xmogs/toys near 1m. If you upgraded gear that's close to 600k. I did start late and probably shouldn't of upgraded gear but still need about 800k just for the xmogs get about 90-100k a day.

MoP was my first time playing. Just casting my mind back. To being camped at lvl 30 ish by some ally Worgen as a destro lock struggling still with the game. He purposely stepped in my RoF, pvp pops and then stayed and killed me for an hour. I hated alliance after that and 260k HK's later still do. I loved MoP, I went all the way by expansions end, challenge run gold completed, mythic Garrosh down etc. Loved it.

Remix has been fun enough I have only been logging into retail to grab bullions for mog. I have all the heirlooms that I missed in pandaria, the tusks, almost all of the mounts and now I'm just farming achievements and ensembles. It's been great. I wish they would have done dual currency though, because until I had 480+ gear it was like my fun button was turned off. After that threshold though you can pretty much start to solo content.

@@ziggs123 daily dungs/scenarios , all raids hc 65-75k bronze and full gear is 500k (not counting soo normal or mythic there) normal doesnt give a lot less and you should be able to do hc after 4days of normal If you get into good groups its no more than 3h for all with 3 476 world tour hc take 1hour 50 to 2h Personally took me 7days with questing after dailies dont think questing adds much

Personally, I have been really enjoying MoP: Remix. Picked a warrior as my main for spending bronze on gear for ilvl + threads from raids dungeons dailies giving more stats. Also I prefer it over retail leveling 100%, powered up about six lvl 70s so far and using their bronze for mounts/other collectibles. Enjoying it over retail and classic for the moment, but who knows how long that will last of course.

Leveling is NOT faster in retail than MoP remix, these clowns are comparing 10-70 on MoP remix to 1-60 speedleveling times(which were about 6 hours), 60-70 in retail is what takes the bulk of your time. In MoP remix you have ways to hit level 70 in LITERALLY 2 hours, if you're not going to do any crazy minmax exp tricks you can naturally hit 70 in about 8 hours on an alt. It takes about 8 hours in retail to just hit 60-70 with no powerleveling.

If the devs are making these remix limited time windows into old expansions, they need to make it not grindy and have things like the frog farm where you can get strong fast unless they actively want to cannibalize the populations of all the other versions of the game. I think it’s fine with the timing, players who don’t want to play cata/classic/sod can play mop remix to farm some collectibles. I think it’s a good feature that needed more thought into ‘exploits and design’ with good potential as filler content to fulfill people until the next major content drop. In general I think seasonal content is good for a live service game to bring extra value to people subbing so having variations like Plunderstorm/SOD/Remix etc should continue to be worked on and improved

The leveling speed is completely false. I have leveled 8 toons and the longest after the first took 7 hours to get to 70. The shortest took 4. The level scaling is completely overstated and I had no issues getting characters from 60-70, and then I discovered mailing xp from bosses and my last three toons I have got from 55-70 by pressing open all at the mailbox.

@@zdubzz1280 yah you did it wrong. what you wanna do is spam dungeons but dont loot the bosses. so the XP bonuses get into your mailbox. then you do normal raids to boost ur cloak xp. and once level 42 you open your mailbox and hit level 70 instantly

@@zdubzz1280 just queue dungeons, youre super strong as long as you keep upgrading your gear and its super fast. Turn off auto loot and dont pick up the bonus xp from bosses. You also get 12% xp per normal raid boss you kill, Ive done it both ways, but if you just do a few days of running mogushan normal, which takes like 20-30 minutes, you will have 400%+ xp gain on cloak and then you can pick up all the bonus xp from bosses at the mailbox and youll level to max from like 50 if you have enough stored

Also, people acting like the "gear is the only part that matters" seem to forget that the gear is capped, and has been capped for the "froggers" since like day 2, the only way to progress is the cloak and a month from now their cloaks will be giving you way more stats than your gear. Already my cloak is half my primary stat budget at max ilvl gear

Gear is literally 90% of the power, your cloak could literally be taken off on a max geared character and you would still be doing doing 99% of your damage because all the power is in the tinkers/meta gems scaling with ilvl not your main stat. The reason people also are focused on gear is because the ilvl of the gear will carry over into the war within making it easier to lvl a max geared remix character then a remix character that just hit 70 and bought nothing but cosmetics. While the cloak upgrades will mean nothing the second remix is over.

I'm playing a max ilvl character and my tinkers are not "99%" or "90%" of my damage, but okay. My point was that everyone who has weak ass cloaks will obviously feel that way because their ilvl vastly outpaced their cloak scaling. Also, your ilvl will not carry over into TWW, you'll be capped out at what a boosted character starts at right now.

I think some of the remix takes are a bit dramatic. It seems blizzard to wanted to give people lots of options for things to do before the tww. There’s still a ton of people playing remix. Some things they could definitely do better next time.

I didn't farm frogs or anything else but my cloak got nerfed 2 - i was just playing the game...if you sweat in with normal strats and get nerfed you feel punished for nothing sadly And the opinion for grinding until you can solo raids, there are still mechanics who kill you anyway, like Heart of Fear, the Boss takes you over and if no one else is there it resets...super strong but get fcked by a simple mechanic xD

I get from 10 to 70 in under three hours in mop remix, in retail I have to pay gold to get boosted in 5 hrs. I have no interest in cata or s3ason 4 retail. Remix gave me a reason to stay subbed. Other ppl got strong while I was living my life thats ok it happens in retail as well.

I've had a blast in MoP Remix. It came at the right time for me. I dont like cata classic & of course since we are in the final season PVE creep in PVP BIS has once again ruined retail for me. I just wish I didn't already have so many 70s...oh and that I could have 1 Evoker per faction per server. I play on 2 servers and exclusively Horde on one and Ally on the other. Unfortunately, I already have a 70 evo on both servers.😢

I think a lot of people are just butt hurt for missing out on the frogs. It’s really not that big of a deal, as a non frogger and someone that could play only on the weekends due to work trips I was able to full clear mythic in about 2 weekends of play just by completing all the quests and achievements with the time I had. No frog farming, no bronze farming. Don’t be a weenie and have some fun

You're not wrong, Xar, the issue isn't the progression. The issue is how Blizzard reacts to exploits. They're trying to slow down a timed event, where the key word here is TIMED, if they already fucked up, then embrace it and let people just have fun with it and do better next time. But nerfing and slowing things down for the people that already couldn't play as much is just out of touch. This could have been one of the most fun events ever, but it's a clown show because Blizzard doesn't know how their own game works.

🤷. It was marketed to be a fast leveling experience.. using only MoP... Its incentive, 5:45 is transmog and exclusive mounts and achievements.. ? ? What are people to expect.. limited time.. easy way to get players to hop on board again.. plus their timing is to get people rolled into war within.. 🤷 They didn't fumble.. they funneled. 😂 I actually reinitiated my account for War Within, to keep a little more current.. Loot works on proximity... And players, we're getting screwed out our thousands of bronze.. The player base is gonna find exploitative methods.. and they have to make balance an priority.. certain exploitative measures.. are cheating.. And having an active response.. seems appropriate... No? Does someone sitting afk using tinkers and mailed loot system to overload their cloak.. When you're grinding quests, dungeons, and actually playing? 🤷 It wasn't necessarily the "frogs and farming".. it's the "farming while afk" It's the "zone and server shifting" And another point, is that botting (knowingly and has been) still occurs.. Which is another aspect blizzard has to counter.

And it took me around 10 days, of LFR heroic daily LFG and scenario.. (basically anything that gave bonus bronze). Rares.. flying.. 10 days to item cap.. got a few mounts and xmogs. The goal was to solo 10m raids on a ret Pally... And I'm halfway completed. 1 shot mechanics are brick walls. Ambershaper.. Sha of pride.. *To me*.. "I don't have to farm elegon every freaking week, anymore... Thanks blizzard."

Guess this is a hot take, bronze for everything is a dub. Imo, WoW has too many different currencies and funneling into one is just overall easier. Just reward more bronze for different content, I know they buffed the dailies, but even more. This is more simple for new players and remix is a dub for introducing new players into WoW. You get to "kinda" learn how to play WoW and you level a character ready for the new expansion. MOP remix is overall pretty fun.

The timing is also awful, Cata and MoP Remix at the same time???? What? Do you want Cata to fail? Why even release MoP Remix? MoP Classic is just around the corner? The vast majority of people do not consider remix a flop, the people who do are either mad they couldn't abuse frogs. Mad because they thought this was effectively sped up classic pandaria (never marketed as that) or by some unknown reason think that lvling alts is slow because they thought they would get to carry over a 400% xp buff ot alts and just do 10 quests and reach max lvl. It takes 2-3 hours to lvl alts, it takes almost no time to complete every raid on normal or higher for the achievements and all the cosmetics are available for literally 3 full months and if people can't get the things they want in the time frame there was no hope for them to like the event to begin with. Even just doing a heroic dungeon which takes like 10 minutes per day if your unlucky with a long que would give you 200k bronze by the end of the event if you literally did nothing else, like if you add a normal dungeon and maybe scenarios your looking at like 6-7k bronze per day for less then an hour of playing. To many people had this idea they were going to get handed everything in a week and have 50+ new mog sets every mount the xpack had to offer and full upgraded gear to carry into t he war within like its just delusional people tbh.
