So minecart snapping is the cause of that, since they snap within 1 block above the rail, any non full block will cause the cart to just ignore spacetime and warp right through solid blocks.

Golden carrots are a very hot seller, the problem is having to take the time to actively trade with villagers for them. Unless... you put the crafter to work! Make a villager powered carrot farm that's running whenever you're in your base, then a powerful gold farm on the nether roof and send the nuggets back to the overworld to be autocrafted into golden carrots while AFKing.

Put in a system with an auto crafter to turn the Slices into whole Melon , have you forgotten farms always produce slices and if they aren't regularly turned into whole melon the slices soon fill the chests..

21:45 - Villagers only compost seeds, which I hope you don't want anyway. Eventually their inventory will be full enough of bread, carrots, potatoes, etc. that they can no longer pick up what they harvest, but especially for wheat this may take a while.

xB you do have the auto crafter on the server for the melons !! set up a crafting spot before it goes to the storage system

You can craft full melons with a 9-grid of slices. You can automate that with the Crafter block. It might make sense to have separate farms, that way you don't need to filter them. Also, don't forget about Glistering Melons. Typically just a potion ingredient, but technically food.

That villager thing happend to Scar a few seasons ago and it was HILARIOUS as he had them wearing goofy heads. The issue is Farmland is less than a full block and minecarts snap to rails if they are closer than 1 block away hence floor villager... xD

Did you know you can manually harvest the water melons with silk touch axe?...Also you can use mangrove roots in your manual farms as well as leaves for water logging. People who are making potions might still want the sliced melon as it's needed for the glistening ingredient. Love the episode, I always watch them on a Sunday while having my evening meal.

If you put another villager on the edge of the farmer's field, seperated by trap doors and a hopper minecart, the farmer will throw all of the stuff he has to the other villager, but it gets caught in the minecart.

Watch XB build all the food farms and a highly efficient comment farm as a bonus. The "ignore the autocrafter" technique is a relatively new one, but it's easy to set up and the rates are good.

If you don’t feel like using auto-crafters to make the whole melons, you could utilize Enderman grieving in the End and build an Ender-ender-melon-sender. Raysworks has a tutorial about it :) So you definitely can harvest them whole!

Definitely look into the autocrafter to craft the melon slices into full melons. That way you get full melons and pumpkins for trading. It should be super simple to set it up as well since it's a simple recipe (nothing complicated like dispensers or comparators that require multiple different ingredients/crafting steps).

Rather than having melons on one side and pumpkins on the other, if you have both on both sides, alternating between each as you plant them (or in diagonal rows, if you prefer that description), both crops will grow faster and your farms will therefore be more productive. You can use an autocrafter to produce full melons for trading.

On the topic of farming full melon blocks - This wouldn't be at all feasible for you I think, but I have seen ONE way to farm full melon blocks! On Legacy SMP season 1, LogicalGeekBoy built a melon farm into the server's _enderman farm._ I don't know how he made sure the endermen frequently and only picked up the melons, but they would, and then killing the endermen would drop the melon blocks, same way you can get grass blocks and stuff from them. Fun stuff. Totally impractical for this context probably.

Just have the hoppers feed melon into an auto crafter and have it spit into a chest. You may need to look up a tutorial for how to get it to send a red stone pulse to itself.
