If you put the portal in the top of one of the towers, visitors will be greeted by the majesty of your base and it won't interfere with the postbox if that is installed in the future.

This project reminds me of house renovation. There's a point where you begin to wonder if it would've been easier to have pulled it down and started from scratch because you've made so many changes. You've created an absolute masterpiece here Mr xB. Great work.

For the "stairs" up to the main entrance... might i recommend a Slab Staircase to elongate the staircase, make it a bit more dramatic feeling and make it less steep. I really think a slab staircase would fit in perfectly with the grand feel of the monument.

this is what I love about xB. I really appreciate getting to see someone's whole building process, including their decision making and all the things they try that don't work on the way to finding what works. maybe it's because I'm a mc builder too but seeing how he handles different situations gives me ideas for my own builds, and it's a lot more entertaining than just watching someone 3d-print something they made in off screen in creative

To deal with slimes, I get a bunch of stone slabs and torches and make bunch of lit layers down below the building. Since lower is more optimal spawn, it prevents most from spawning in the building. I don't put collectors, because I want them to hold up the entity count.

xB, your base is beautiful!!!! I'm praying that you see this comment though because there's some important blocks missing! You can see it really well at 29:24, but you missed the light grey layer of blocks in between the orange and dark grey blocks on the spiky back part of the outer wall, specifically, the one with the water fountain hole thing. I commented on your last video about it, but I didn't think you saw it so Im back. I noticed it when you built it and it's triggering my OCD, and nobody else seems to have noticed. I just don't want HC 10 to end and it's still missing a piece. Sorry if this sound's like I'm trying to manage what you're doing, I don't mean it that way, I love what you're doing with the base and hope it goes well. (I really hope you see this)

I have two ideas for the top of the base: 1 - Put guardian eye made from glass there that stares at you as you fly by. Might be a little intimidating too, or 2 - Have you seen Grians prismarine shop, and the way you exit there? installing a wind charge launcher that shoots you out the top of the tower all Willy Wonka-esque might be a cool idea as well, and will help tie in the new features a little as well. Loving the base as its coming along so far!

Leave the top open for flight access, with maybe 4 orange glass at tippy-top of temple arch...possibly offset above the the 4-wide opening. Add orange slit-windows in between the 3-slits on front R&L. Do the scattered brick & path blocks around where all path blocks are. Use Slabs & stairs everywhere thats feasible rather than solid block for lighting purposes & conserving resources.

The orange glass on top does look better looking out than it does looking in. I think that if you install some structural detail in the roof area beneath the glass, it will create a similar effect to what is happening with the top of the monument. Just invert the shapes and push them out wider to give yourself something to look at while peering down from above.

For the floor leading up to the staircase, you could use a mixture of prismarine and some of the new chiseled copper blocks to add a little variation, especially as a pattern focus or a trim.

28:00 Maybe it would be a good place for an elevator? Or to have a wind-charge launcher below it? A wind-charge launcher is a 1x1 hole with a pressure plate at the bottom and surrounded by dispensers with wind-charges.

Love where the base is going! For that top cupola, what about building the orange glass into a more pyramid shape to match the cupola angles and give it a more 3-d look? Could possibly bring the black glass into that design to give it more depth.

Truly transforming this ocean monument! For the top window bit I think you should go with the orange glass but keep the blach border you had made in the first place. ETA: I also thoughtyou might want to curve the other beam of the entrance glass window to be more in keeping with the tower design but that might need some more designing out

Add a wind charge launcher in the center of your base as an exit option the same as Grian has in his prismarine shop. Could launch right out the 1 block hole in the top of your base.

build looking marvelous. you have a bunch of colors to choose from while searching for some detail options. purple to add to the portal, or blue like the water and would go with the orange and prismarine, or just more orange

23:45 it's more on the left because people walk into the base and fly out of it. How about making the top as a small dome. And leave the centre open. So you could make a jump thing with the new windburst. (Like Grian did)

I love the upgrade. It's what a monument should look like! I don't care much for the spilled prismarine on the path. It's too clean of a build for that. It looks like you spilled it and forgot to sweep it up.

An idea for the top portion... take out the glass floor and make it a glass dome instead and you could leave the central opening open to fly out of the top of the dome.

I really liked the black glass at the top of the monument. I think if you worked in some orange around that top structure it would look good, maybe orange glass as walls on 2 of the 4 sides or the little 2x2 window at the very top. Really starting to come together as a cohesive build, love the progress so far.

I've both appreciated and been annoyed by how wall/fence hitboxes are 0.5 blocks taller, so breaking a block on top of them means there's a decent chance it'll get launched because it thinks the item entity is inside of the wall. Makes for annoyance when the blocks go flying, but also makes it possible to have a randomised gambling game based on the direction it goes.

You could put orange glass panes on the orange stripes that are above the storage chests, that way there is some kind of "fence" that keeps the ppl walking on the paths to fall to their death. End of episode edit: What if, for the orange glass ceiling, you did the deepslate outline you did for the black glass, but for the orange iteration? It would highlight the orange and make it stand out more against the prismarine. That way it would blend in less and it would make the orange pop.

I like the orange glass at the top of the monument, but it might work to keep the deep slate ring. The orange right against the prismarine when the rest of the outside has much higher contrast seems a little off

with the space in the top you should totally do like Giran's prismarine shop and add a breeze ball launcher so you pop up right in the middle when you wanna fly out of your base

on the middle layer you could put orange concrete between the nubs like racing stripes

A little bit of coarse dirt, sand or gravel would make that faded path in the front look great as for the area where your chest monster were I suggest you leave that open and place a wind charge launcher so that you can blast off without using a rocket

The problem with this portal location is that you wouldn't be able to have a postbox installed at the monument itself. You could get away with one installed a little further away though.

You might be able to work in some orange tones with terracotta -- even if you don;'t use orange terracotta. Or even use some coral!

On my reslm i cleared a monument and changed all the prismarine blocks to copper stairs and the other stuff to deepslate variants. I have a tinted window on the back wall but currently have a gaping hole for the front wall because i cant decide what to put there. I tried quartz but its just to white . Ill get there soon 😊

what if you pulled the orange glass on top down one block; that would give the top more depth and make the glass less obvious from the outside while largly perserving the inside look

xB, what if you make the corner blops orange, it wont be much but i feel like it would just be enough orange to add. and also for the center, maybe keep it black and then add a orange X with glass, if it fits and doesnt have a 2x2 center
