Hey John, I can confirm that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is fun. There are two versions of the game on PS4 that are indistinguishable from each other from the case, but the copyright dates printed on the top of the disc are different. The initial print with just 2018 dated only has the first Spyro on the disc and requires internet to download Ripto's Rage and Year of the Dragon because Activision kicked the collection out the door before Toys for Bob had finished the other two games. The later print is copyrighted 2018 and 2019. That version has all three games on the disc and does not require an internet connection, despite what the download required label states on the case.

As a digital only gamer for the last few years, I recently got back into collecting physical games for PS4, PS5, and Switch. With an impending digital only future upon us, it's been comforting to buy/re-buy some of my favorite games physically and actually feel like I own them instead of just licensing them for an uncertain amount of time.

I’ve pretty much given up on PriceCharting as a pricing source for XBox 360. For one they use eBay pricing to set values, yet they don’t also factor in shipping and tax. I don’t know a single person who shops on eBay that considers the displayed price to be the total, they ALL factor shipping and tax into the price they’re paying. Then the eBay pricing also doesn’t factor in free shipping where it’s rolled into the price. It also only uses the auction title, where half the “CIB” auctions aren’t actually complete in box. Plus most people don’t list if a game is a Platinum Hits version, so those sales get applied to the release version, and screw up the pricing for the platinum entries that get far fewer recorded sales as a result. I use it for a ballpark figure, but add shipping and tax to every price. Then it’s a bit more accurate, but still extremely flawed.

Yeah it's definitely not accurate. I also find that 90% of the time, individual games are actually going for more than their price charting data. But yeah, it's pretty much the only semi-scientific metric we have so it's what I use

Doom 3 BFG Edition is amazing! Runs the best on Xbox 360 and comes with Doom 1 + 2 and all the expansions too on the disc. Fucking worth your money

@@warmage247 Unfortunately all Classic DOOM games on all Xbox One and Series consoles, are suffering of horrendous micro stuttering. Which makes them by far the worst versions of the games. This issue is know for years now and neither Microsoft or Bethesda has done anything to fix this.

shucks! It's tough because viewers would always drop off pretty hard at that part of the video, which drops the average view duration thus potentially causing the video to perform worse. I used to not care as much, but when I only have time right now to put out one-ish videos a month I really want it to do as well as possible. I am trying really hard to make more time for myself to work on stuff for the channel outside of my normal videos which would include doing some streaming. I feel like that would be a better format for me to play games. I am glad that you enjoyed that part of my videos and appreciate you voicing it.

Yeah when stuff gets really expensive that definitely ruins a lot of the fun for me haha. Luckily MOST 360 games are still pretty cheap but I already have 90% of the cheap ones

I can see why revelations 2 switch version cannot be supported because it cost 24gb of storage for a 16gb cartridge. Revelations 1 was at 12gb storage and that was meant to be.

Ive been slimming down my collection by about 20% lately. So I sold most of my $80+ 360 games a few months ago when things started going crazy. Most of those expensive games I bought for around $5 at GameStop 10 years ago and could care less about them. Been buying some PS4 games lately as well - mostly targeting games ive wanted to play, upgrading games I like to steelbook/special editions and getting all the Resident Evil titles.

I was collecting 360 years ago for the same reason that now I, like you, am building a PS4 library. Games are cheap, and I know eventually they won't be. As a huge fan of Life is Strange, I wish Before the Storm had been released first. If I had gotten Chloe's story first, it would have made a lot of events in LIS hit a lot harder. Great video, man!

crazy because my ps4 i just bought for 100 bucks with its box and manual just arrived the other day, got 10 games for it in total, uncharted 4, driveclub, the last guardian, medievil, days gone, killzone shadowfall, spiderman, dreams, the order and a few more, since some games run a bit better on ps4 ill be getting those versions as well, even though i got the ps4 mainly for its exclusives lol, cheers!

You know, if every collector just went after the cheapest console to collect, it would cause the resellers to sell the "expensive" games at a lower price(overinflated because of fumo) while trying to get all the in demand cheap games to sell with a mark up which would cause the expensive to become affordable and the inexpensive to become expensive. We are stuck in a never-ending loop.

Enjoyed Earth Defense Force 2017. It's the only one I've played in the series but I do recommend for some silly fun. It's brutally difficult on the hardest difficulty though and the 360 will suffer some major slowdown due to all the enemies on screen at once.

Problem is that PS4/XB1 onwards isn't fun to collect for. Some great games and Its cheaper, but theres nothing in the boxes, huge patches often required, GOTY/all-on-disc editions are almost a thing of the past too.

MGS3 is sooo good. The controls are pretty weird but I think a lot of people think "dated" controls are automatically bad and I don't agree. MGS3 doesn't control like a modern game but that doesn't mean it's bad; it's still really fun to play. I picked the PS4 because that's the eighth gen console I had and I'm more fond of it, plus it has way better exclusives imo. I am going to start collecting for the Xbox One when I get a Series X at some point (next time there's a big sale maybe)

@@collectorjohn9538 110% agree. After adjusting, it was honestly refreshing playing with a fairly unique control scheme. I love that PS2 kinda era where each game could control completely differently. Also: Snake Eater is a stealth game. Having the guns not simply one trigger press away from firing forced me to think things through, which I appreciated.

Wreckfest is awesome with a steering wheel! I have on Xbox with the Logitech wheel , also I grabbed both Surge 1&2 on steam, I wasn’t too impressed with them. There’s so many of these souls games now I’m not too into them. Don’t get me wrong some are ok, like Lies of P and Vampyre
