I recognize that my motives are somewhat selfish, but i liked that they delayed it because now i have time to finish Pillars 1 and 2, since i stopped the first one to play the newer games lol! I love RPGs with a base management system and i really liked the story of the first game, as far as i got (i had finished almost all the castle repairs). I want to see what it will be like in the second one and if in Avowed we will see characters from the 2 previous titles and have more interesting lore from this incredible universe.

Each Dragon Age game feels different from the previous one, so i'm still interested to give Veilguard a try. The gameplay looked pretty decent to me, though i admit the new visual art style is taking time to get used to. I'm looking forward to Gamescom for Xbox. Both their event early in the year (where they revealed Visions of Mana at) and the june showcase were incredible. So i think Gamescom will be another great event for them.

XBoX will be huge again this year at Gamescom. Surprisingly some people are still focused on console sales.. ignoring the fact that moving forward, XBoX will be synonymous of massive games like Call of Duty, DOOM, Fallout, Warcraft, Diablo, Gears of War, etc.. they now own these franchises and they WONT show anywhere but XBoX events. Thats huge, it builds mindshare. Consoles are a niche market in gaming, and the younger generations dont care about them. Microsoft was smart to focus on the ecosystem, not just on the plastic box, at the end of the day most players care about GAMES, not console sales.

Avowed delay is good. More time for polish but more importantly, time for Avowed to shine without being eclipsed by Indy and COD. MS has this habit of overstuffing Q4 and havubg a drought Q1and this move also fixes this problem. I'd expect Avowed mid-late Feb As for Bungie... They offered one barely profitable IP and one aging engine alongside a large, skilled dev team with mediocre-average management. Their games consistenly showed great gunplay and poor design, mechanics, gameloops and story. Other than that, all Bungie had was 100k subs to D2 There should be no surprise MS refused a takeover at $2Bn. Bungie probably aren't worth a tenth of that. So yes....Sony overpaid. Sony overpaid by a LOT. Its not the worst takeover ever, but its down there

Personally, if I hadn’t gotten the 24 months GamePass Ultimate bundled with my purchase of Xbox Series X, I would have dropped the service already. As everything seems to be, from now on, focused on Call of Duty, which is absolutely of no interest to me, this delay of Avowed after the price hike makes a compelling argument for contracting the service on a very occasional monthly basis, and dropping it most of the time. How many first person games with guns do we really need? People intersted in Avowed aren't going to be rushing out to play CoD. Stalker 2 is another FPS that doesn't really overlap. Indiana Jones & Avowed are very different as well. At least Avowed was a true RPG that could also be played in 3rd person. If Avowed is ready, then don't delay it because CoD or Stalker 2 are nearby. I don't think pushing Avowed, back is a good sign, I have not been impressed with Obsidian, Outer Worlds was dull and they are saying that Avowed is more like OTW than Elder Scrolls.
