Hey JP, something has been bothering me since I started watching Dropped Frames: Cohh's words often gets muffled/cut short! It's not like this on his stream in general, this is only on Dropped Frames! I don't know if you guys have the conversations through Discord or whatever, but it sounds like there's an added noise gate/noise gcancellation on his audio(on top of his already processed audio setup). Yours and Zeke's are crisp and clear, it's just Cohh. Other than that great show :D

It's crazy to me that Bethesda is the ONLY triple A game dev that gets a pass when it comes to releasing incredibly buggy games. CP2077 was super buggy on release and CDPR got obliterated for it (and rightfully so), but with Bethesda it's literally just expected that their games will be bug fests. It's very strange when you think about it. Like, I get that they make good games and I guess that's why the bugs are forgiven, but if Rockstar, for example, released a game with as many bugs as a Bethesda game it would be considered an abject failure and Rockstar would never hear the end of it. Same goes for pretty much every other triple A dev.

I thought that Starfield was their best game at first, the people were so much better than ever but as I went on it's actually pretty weak. I got my money's worth easily but I look back at it with little regard as it's a lazy, poorly made game with 3rd rate dialogue and an old corny story we've all seen before. I had fun with it 'til I didn't.

@@xBINARYGODx Like what? The performance in act 3 is kinda rough, but that's about it. There were some bugs in act 3, but the vast majority of them already got fixed. The number and severity of bugs in BG3 come nowhere close to Starfield. There definitely aren't bugs in BG3 that make NPCs float into the air making it so you can never complete their quests like in Starfield. I'm not sure why you're even defending Starfield - it's common knowledge and expected that Bethesda games will have tons of bugs on release and while Starfield might be the least buggy Bethesda game ever made, it still has more bugs than almost every other triple A game.

Starfield is still in a better shape than the "new" CP2077 is in now. It's still not out of early access. On launch, it was an early, extremely rough alpha. Now it's an early, extremely rough beta. Please stop encouraging things like what CDPR did and praising them for "patching" a game in 2+ years, that's not even up to the standard it should've been at launch.

What Cohh said about Cyberpunk is spot on. When the game came out in 2020 it felt so unfinished and I'm not even talking about the bugs. I was super hyped for it (probably too hyped) and really wanted to love it, but ended up playing it for around 20 hours until I just couldn't do it anymore. The original release was a 6/10 game and the 2.0 update is easily a 9/10 game. The skill tree rework alone is a game changer. Leveling up actually feels really good and exciting now and I literally want every perk, whereas in the original release I didn't care about any of the perks because barely any of them actually impacted gameplay in a meaningful way. Hopefully CDPR will learn from this and in the future they won't try to release a game that still needs 2+ years of development.

Day 1 CP was 8/10. It was a good game. I had zero issues with bugs and performance. AC Valhalla, for example, was far worse in that regard. Now it's 9/10. Very good.

@@DoubleJayU If the game only went up 1 point for you after CDPR reworked/changed/added to almost the entire game except the story, you probably need to re-evaluate your original score. Day 1 CP2077 was a shell of what it is now. And again, that's not even considering the bugs and performance issues that were widespread on all platforms. Just because you didn't experience any of them doesn't mean they didn't exist.

@@paulblart2179 I rate the game on my experience I had from day 1. And I had a blast and a fantastic 75 hours long playthrough. Based on that, the story, graphics, performance and combat, it was a solid good game. That's an 8/10. Now it's a very good game or maybe even a masterpice, depending on the expansion, which I haven't touched yet. I also might add that I wasn't overhyped and I stayed away from most trailers. So I took it for what it was, when it came out. The experience I'm having now (I haven't touched the game since release), is very similar to what it was 2 years ago.

I really hope the Fallout 3 remaster brings some gameplay changes as well as visual improvements, such as True Ironsights. Also, I get the feeling that BGS is planning a big Fallout event next year. And I suspect that the Fallout 3 Remaster and the Fallout 4 next gen update will be part of that event. They've got the Fallout tv series coming next year. How cool would it be to announce the Fallout 3 Remaster and the Fallout 4 next gen update along side the premier of the Fallout tv series. I also really hope that the remaster addresses an issue with The Pitt dlc, specifically the rooftop of the refinery you visit while collecting steel ingots for a Pitt Raider.

I'm hoping for a complete story redesign as well as a more rational post-apocalypse. So no skeletons everywhere and buildings should show some signs of repair so holes are patched and people rediscovered brooms.

Also, you have Super Mutants, Raiders, Mercs, hostile mutated wild life, irradiated water, and malfunctioning robots all over the place. Sweeping up floors of ruined buildings and patching them is the least of the concerns of the settlers in the Capital Wasteland.

@@tuckster27 Many buildings are dangerous, falling apart and crumbling and many things were made shoddily during the war, quality building materials would be scarce and for the military. Also irradiated and infested with crazy mutants and many many other threats mentioned already. Pre-war knowledge and co-operation are scarce at best and anybody who possesses important skills are either dead or living somewhere in a secluded community like a walled off town or some faction including dangerous ones. Anything in between these rare places would most likely be incredibly dangerous and desolated.

In fact, it is still one of the top 20 best selling games in the US (though I imagine not for too much longer).

The whole death was unnecessary, the jumping around also doesn't work narratively. They tried to surprise audiences instead of just following a solid narrative that makes sense. And its not just a 30 year old game, but the beginning of a still ongoing series. Its like saying nobody remembers the plot of A New Hope just because its old, or even older actually. If these guys were younger, it wouldn't be such a weird response to the question.

And any other Fallout game is full of references to plots and characters, or even includes them. Microsoft has done plenty of shady things. people just forget easily. Hell even a couple of years ago they basically doubled the price of xbox live purely to get people to move to the (still comparatively more expensive) Gamepass. also back in the XBone days they tried to kill used games by making discs one time install (which was walked back) but it's pretty obvious that their final goal with gamepass is to assimilate all the game studios and usher in a subscription only wasteland for videogames.

@@radishhat5736 Good points. Not "nefarious" imo, but yeah, subscription-only gaming is definitely not something I personally want. It's the way things are going though for big business and technologically; luckily the indie and mod scene is thriving, so I am not too concerned - and we've seen with streaming services that there is a threshold where customers will start voting with their feet quickly if prices for services rendered become to steep. Definitely need to always stay aware as customer though.

It's only a spoiler for the people who are new and haven't played FF7 before because most people who are like 20+ already know that who knows what happens. most people who don't are probably under 20 and weren't even born at the time. evne though I never played the OG FF7 I knew what happened to because of friends talking about it at school. pretty much all games are this way now , released buggy unfinished, and incomplete. wait 3+ years for patches to finally get what should have been at launch. same with baldurs gate, same with starfield, cyberpunk , only real games launching and releasing fully complete seem to be games like spiderman 2 or ffxvi which wont need years of patching or have glaring issues at launch. only minor issues like ffxvi and it was patched immediately. which devs should ALWAYS do, unlike starfield which we are waiting 1+ months and literal radio silence from them

BGS has touted Starfield as an offline single player game since they originally announced it, and that announcment was in response to claims that because Fallout 76 was a LS game, that BGS was abandoning offline single plauer games. FF7 Rebirth looks good, but my god the English voice acting is soooo bad. It literally just sounds like people reading lines off a page with zero emotion behind them. There's no excuse for a game dev as big as Square Enix to not hire high quality English speaking voice actors. I also hope that you can play the game on hard right from the beginning instead of needing to beat the game once because the combat in FF7 Remake was quite easy.

I only just bought Cyberpunk (on sale) , because they finally reached the release state we all expected, and I think it still needs more patching. Starfield is a mid game at best and not worth $70, most of the systems seem dated and the mechanics are very meh.
