Inside Xbox's smallest and most efficient console yet. After inadvertently bricking his own Series S after a borked experiment (nothing to do with the system itself, we should add, which worked great!) Rich strips down the console to see what makes it tick, exposes the Series S processor and compares it against Series X, Xbox One S and even PS4 slim...

Unfortunately a lot of manufacturing and tech companies are leaving (WD, Intel, IBM, Dell) and those that stay aren't interested in investing while the government isn't interested in solving issues and instead playing the race and religion cards to cover up their bad governance. Soon this will be a thing of the past. AMD wont invest if it sees no future and will leave just like Intel has. Back in the original core processor days you used to see made in Malaysia on Intel chips as well but not any more.

Oh I imagine more are coming. But Microsoft has been using Seagate for their Xbox branded external storage for years now, so they already had a contract with them. So why Western Digital for the internal? Just weird, I'm sure they have a reason
@flimermithrandir
@flimermithrandir 2 жыл бұрын
@@jessefleming9763 I think they use more then just those two for the internal SSD because they need more for the Production of the Xbox S and X. As a Manufacturer you dont want to tell ppl they have to wait 3 Weeks for the S because currently everything is ready… but the SSD is on an container right now. Thats why. The PS5 has 3 different Fan Manufacturer too for example. For the extern selling SSD… if its sold out its sold out… Thats not cool but MS would not care that much. That would be the Issue for Seagate then.

for now, all you sacrifice is graphics but if you have foresight the memory capacity and speed will negatively impact the design of games in the future. Most likely scenario as they are not going to make 2 completely different set pieces in a game, is that demanding Series X and PS5 titles may be held back in terms of meaningful scene complexity as they have to make sure it functions on series s as well.

@@LeiChaobruh Don't act like you know what the majority wants. You don't. Besides, you're talking about the same group that would happily deal with 720p30 for at least a decade while 1080p60 was standard on PC. Not everyone wants the biggest, most powerful gaming machine. The Series S is an easy and affordable solution for families. If all you want is a machine that lets your kid play Fortnite, this is the one to get. If you want a bit more, just slap Game Pass on it and you're good. People like you don't seem to understand the meaning of value. All you do is look at performance as if money weren't a concern. It literally doesn't matter that there's something better when you simply don't want to spend more. Mid-range products exist for a reason, and they're incredibly successful - again - for a reason. I bricked mine (under warranty thankfully) when the Forza Horizon 4 crashes were a big issue earlier this year. It crashed, then it kept crashing from the home screen, then eventually started crashing during bootup. I managed to get to the factory reset debug screen, and then it crashed during the reset. Wouldn't even stay on long enough to get a USB boot to work. Sent it to MS and a week later I was good to go 🤷‍♂️ No idea what all caused it tbh. I refuse to believe a bad Forza Horizon 4 update would've caused a console crash, but maybe. Then it was most likely my own frantic "do anything and everything to fix it" that caused the excessive crashes during bootup and stuff.
