I said this before, and I still haven't done the XVI event, but despite how serious the vibe seems for the crossover event, I hope they do the ridiculous thing of having Yoshi-P meet Yoshida during it. You know how much he loves that joke, it wouldn't surprise me if he asked them to put it in there somehow.

i think DT is going to deal with the First quite a bit, actually-- an awful lot of SHB voice actors showed up for the later EW patch quests. Lyna, Gaia, and Ryne's english VAs only appear in SHB and EW patch quests, and it seems v. possible that recording for the later patch quests in EW would have taken place during the recording for DT. The fact that all these shb characters were voiced in EW patch quests (including Gaia! Who was only ever voiced within fights themselves!) leads me to believe they may very well be voicing those characters in DT as well.

Talking about loose ends, HEY GUYS REMEMBER PROJECT TARTARUS? the mcguffin that could drill into the core of the planet that Garlemald found during SB alliance raids? Peperidge writing team kinda forgot. edit: for 11 crossover stuff, we don't have just one alt timeline, we have TWO, the other being that Alex and BEST GIRL EVER Mide timeline. FF14 timeline is convoluted. Having 11 being a dimension hoping thing is the least awkward way of doing it simply cuz its already set up with Shanto and Iroha, and it kinda allows them to follow up with Rhapsodies. But I know its gonna be about the wandering ministrel brother telling a story or something. :(

I enjoyed the Little Ladies' Day fusion with Valentione's Day because it made sense - girls are treated like goddesses on Little Ladies' Day, so it makes sense to combine it with a holiday where girls practice romantic gestures as they could get boyfriends and seduce their boyfriends and the men couldn't refuse them because they have to respect them. This... was not really that great. The only connection was both Little Ladies' Day and Hatchingtide are spring-time events. :( The only reason these events got combined was because they are in the same time frame. The only other fusion of holiday might be the Rising(anniversary of the Calamity) and Moonfire Faire(summer vacay).
