UPDATE: I stated the Xbox headset doesn't support simultaneous bluetooth, but IT DOES! Only challenge has been that when I connect my phone while playing, the chat mix dial doesn't function. Nonetheless...this makes this just about an Arctis 9x killer!

i just bought the arctis 9x a few months ago and i totally love them... i bought these becuse i wanted a better headset for my laptop and to listen to me gaming in quiet. i truely hope steel series will continue supporting these and with the better mic and sound quality is a definit win.

In terms of the virtual surround sound which one is better and more accurate in hearing footsteps?

I feel both were fairly equal, but setting up Dolby Atmos on the Xbox headset really helped in giving more life to the overall sound. I’m reviewing the Nova Pro Wireless now. So I’ll be sure to add this to the list of things to review/compare

I bought the microsoft 1's monday, by saturday i replaced them with steel series 9x and love them. So much of a better build, hard to find a good headset but wow, like hot n cold

I’ve had two pairs of steel series arctic 9x die on me. First pair broke exactly the way yours did. Second pair won’t charge due to a problem with the micro USB port.

Yes! Makes it tough for me to spend the cash on a new pair…but I do miss them and it might be good to learn and share thoughts with you all.

The xbox ones are ok just the ear cups wear out and come off
