It's still so crazy seeing how many Taylor Swift dolls were made when I swear I only saw maybe...1 or 2 growing up? I wish she'd do a new doll line today of all her iconic eras like Billie Eilish does! For Felicity dresses, you can thankfully skimp on tights and just go for long socks like what the OG Felicity and Elizabeth comes with. Felicity dresses are SUPER long so you'd never know if she's wearing tights or socks! 🤣 That's often what I did when her and Elizabeth's socks were on another doll! haha Those custom dresses are just GORGEOUS! The yellow one reminds me so much of the retired Cecile dress!!!

I think she has mentioned before (i dont remembet in which video) that it id because of the boycott going in support of palestine since a lot of these big toy companies in one way or the other either support isr*el directly or have someone in charge who is a big openly zionist.

I’m not here to tell anyone how to feel or what to do, I always just want to share my dolls and what I’m doing with them. I personally am uncomfortable with the CEO of mattel reportedly allegedly attending fundraising events in support of a colonial oppressive army and then recently Mattel has continued to insist upon using AI art instead of hiring more/utilizing the amazing talent they have on board. I personally decided I don’t want to promote them on my channel but they’re not a stated boycott target or anything. Just as a doll “influencer” (which I never sought to be but I automatically kind of became) - I don’t want to direct more attention their way

I just got my first My Scene doll tiday. Jamin in Jamaica Madison. Don’t know when i'll get more they are kind of expensive. I got mine for $10 she's only missing a couple of items. She sure did come with alot.

That’s amazing - congratulations!! With My Scene they seem expensive from the outside but if you shop for them often you’ll notice that it’s mostly weird sellers that overprice them and very few impatient buyers. They sell for a lot less usually and are pretty common second hand!

The Disney Radiance collection was nice, and I got Belle and Jasmine around Christmas when Mattel briefly had them for BOGO (Aurora excluded). Maybe some people bought at that price and thought they could resell for higher. I really like the new Regal Glamor collection, and I am waiting for Ariel to ship. I believe it is the same designer, and those designs are really elevated compared to even the Disney collector dolls.

They (and/or their CEO) keep doing things that make me uncomfortable aligning myself with and making videos supporting them, even indirectly by doing product reviews. I love a lot of their products and they’re not on any kind of calls to boycott for any reasons that I know of but I personally don’t want the CEO of any company that my money goes to to be ‘allegedly’ spotted attending fundraising events for colonial oppressive armies and/or speaking in favor of those same armies. Much less severe but this isn’t just the CEO so I think it’s relevant is the AI issue. Use of AI in art especially is art theft as AI “art” is trained off of is by actual human artists and the artists did not consent to their art being used this way. Mattel has been very open about wanting to use AI more within the company (even insisting they won’t hire people who don’t want to use it) and you can actually see them using it for box art. I love dolls because they’re art and want to complete my collection and share them with you guys but I don’t have to have them and I certainly don’t have to have them brand new! If they ever either get a new CEO or this CEO stops being shitty then I would possibly return to reviewing their stuff.

I have that opinion of a LOT of similar dolls and I used to think that of AG but then I became really captivated by their stories and their accessories (the clothing, furniture etc.) - it’s so high quality and it’s stuff you don’t normally see for dolls in unmatched quality (or… it was). Then I understood them and now I love their faces. They’re not gonna be for everyone and I still can’t get behind some things about them but overall they just make me happy so I don’t really pay the thought much mind
