i remember that, in every Barbie movie dvd case (at least in the 2000s era) came with a little booklet that advertised all the different dolls and playsets that were released alongside each movie. This playset had a spot in the Mermaidia booklet, and let me tell you i *dreamed* about this playset/the mermaid dolls because they were SO pretty. like, the fairytopia universe was just producing hit after hit when it came to cool toys- and even though i couldn't get but one or two of the dolls from each set, it was still magical to just stare at those booklets, and marvel at how fun it would be to have them T-T

Brings back memories. Me and my stepsister had this one plus the bratz baby’s mermaid playset. So much fun and we’d set them up on opposite sides of the hot tub or the bathtub. We had so many mermaid Barbie and this let us live our h20 fantasy. Also yes, it did fall apart when we played but we were having fun and I’m pretty sure my dad glued it together at one point for us or we got real careful

The extra pond flat mat may have been used as a water floor mat for the bottom section by the original owner. You may want to try it as the bottom of the ocean/pond.

The bubblewing mermaids are mermaidia! The rest of the smaller petal pixie dolls are all fairytopia. The merfairies actually also have a smaller playset too which has a little pet swing for their dolphin and turtle

are your mermaidia dolls a variant ? they all look different from the ones i have/see on sale, especially your nori compared to mine ! every single one i have seen for sale had a another face, pretty similar but slightly off/goofy looking, do you know if there is a china/Indonesia variant or maybe multiple releases for these mermaidia mermaid dolls that would explain this screening difference? i really like yours's faces a lot more tten the ones i see/have so i'd love to be able to find them somehow !
