Xclusive !: WMATA Metrorail Kawasaki 7000 Testing on the Red Line

The newest trains in the rail system, to replace the 1k and 4k fleet. They are so far being tested on the red line. In this video i caught em at Metro Center and Takoma.

Yep. If you must know this, the current 2000, 3000, 5000, and 6000 series railcars will be used to run the new silver line for a temporary amount of time after it is open. The 7000 series railcars will probably be delivered to the West Falls Church Yard where they will be dispatched to provide service for the new silver line from Wiehle-Reston East and Largo Town Center.

mspraggins Nope. The 7000 series has A and B cars. "A" cars have driver areas and "B" cars only have passenger seats. Its actually a pretty smart idea. Saves money (production) and adds more passenger room.
