That's what's wrong with cod these days...ppl just camping and caring about their KD and not helping their team win. Killstreaks promotes camping. Ppls mentality needs to change from caring about KD to caring about winning first. Most ppl only get a good KD by avoiding capturing the point, collecting tag, time on point etc...anyone can get a good KD that way and it destroys COD. My KD is 2.12 and win loss is 2.89. No camping from me...I try win first and help my team as it should be.

It's not about the K/D, it's about having something to strive for in the game, without killstreaks this game ain't doing nothing that hasn't been done before. People camp for streaks, but that's OK because it's enjoyable, but you'd also get plenty of people running and gunning in the older cods going for streaks too, when they didn't have strict SBMM. I remember plenty of people going for objectives in the old cod games, it all depends on the person. Some people like going for streaks, some enjoy playing objectives. The most important thing is giving people options to how they want to play in game. Funneling people into a specific type of gameplay, just because you want more playing the objectives will never work, the game will get old fast. The hero abilities in this also suck, having a legit wall hack ability is straight up retarded, completely unbalanced.

Having 2 teams coordinating and trying their hardest to win each game using the abilities at the right time etc makes it fun. Having campers or a bunch of ppl not caring about winning or helping the team makes it boring. I hate stomping ppl in cod or xdefiant because they don't try win...That ruins the game. And it's not sbmm...it's performance based matchmaking. If I game alone I win 95% of my games and cod continually put me on a team with useless players and over stack the other team to try make me lose. Doesn't work most of the time but Is really annoying. If it was skill based match making the teams would be fairly balanced but I never experience that.

One thing that people tend to ignore or forget is the fact the game is free and isn’t 70$ and replaced within a year with another 70$ game, also the game will be updated and improved upon often. It’s the first couple of days of full release if we had all of the content of the start we would be bored within a month and there wouldn’t be room for improvement.

I thought I was crazy for being pissed about that because no one else seems to be talking about it but it sucks to not be able to see how you died so you can do better next time. I remember back in battlefield 5 they had scorestreaks that worked similar to cold war, but It would pool your entire 4-man squad's points into one value that you could use to drop some crazy streaks. massive rockets that could get you 5-30 kills in one pop and level houses, tanks/transport, and extra supplies, etc. If I'm being honest I liked them a lot more than a lot of cod killstreaks since the scorestreaks you're able to get in bf5 could massively change the course of the game even if you're doing a lone wolf playstyle. No cod streak in the last 8 years can be compared to the feeling of having a really good sightline on a couple buildings all the enemies are huddled together in, calling in a airstrike and seeing 20 skulls on your screen before your entire team rushes in and takes the objective I am confident that if they lean more into that (chopper gunners, specialist, herrier, etc) and make infantry-focused maps like they used to before 2042, they might actually be able to steal players from cod. Unfortunately the the battlefield devs haven't had much luck with making something that doesn't suck ass so it'll be a miracle if it looks like an actually battlefield

It’s an objective based game based on classic COD style gameplay. This isn’t a lone wolf type game, you need to support your team. They got rid of the ridiculous mechanics from the newer games and the devs said they are planning on nerfing the bunny hopping crowd and introducing sniper flinch…both of which are MUCH needed. I am absolutely loving this style of game. I do agree they need a kill camera though.

You know what. I find this game to be a breath of fresh air. You can sit back and just chill. Players are visible. Hit registration is leagues better than the current cod. Graphically I think it’s more appealing too. I think the TTK is a little too slow. Other than that I’m enjoying it. They should just put some streaks in the game. Then it would be beast mode. Cod, Halo and Counter Strike are the greatest FPS multiplayer games. Cod has streaks to make fighting and OBJs more interesting, Halo has power weapons and Counter Strike has the economy thats used to purchase better equipment between rounds. All three use these unique elements to make the life of a single player matter past a single kill and increase dopamine as you work to gain the benefits of said element throughout the match. Xdefiant has Overwatch abilities instead of streaks. The problem is that they are given to each player for free constantly through cooldowns instead of being earned through fighting or playing the OBJ. This just pisses everyone in the lobby off because the games abilities lack any integrity or outplayabilty at all. Even in Halo the best and hardest to earn power weapon the rocketlauncher pales in comparison to this games abilities let alone ultimates. I think switching the abilities off cooldowns and moving them to streaks would do alot for improving Xdefiant. I also have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to give the Rainbow Six operators 20 more health than everyone else. Thats a recipe to piss someone off who cleary won the gunfight but lost due to an extra 20 hp they didnt know they had when he heard footsteps behind him. Game is nice but we gotta be honest about how they can improve it or else everyone including me will move back to cod once Treyarch comes back around.

I respect your thoughts on the game, and the way you laid them out. The hit detection sucks. I am not a fan of CoD anymore, because it became something it shouldnt be. That said, XD is not a replacement for the old feel. With all the delays, I expected them to deliver something more. No killstreaks No combat record Bad hit detection No team deathmatch No FFa No hardcore Imbalanced guns Imbalanced abilities Slow gun levelling No prestige modes yet Minimal unlockables No reticle options, when multiple defaults are horrible Mark and his team tried to cash in on their glory days, just to show us that they arent so glorious. I wish them well, and I genuinely hope the game becomes something better. Right now it isnt worth playing.

Launching a FPS in 2024 without TDM is just wild to me. But I get why. Without SBMM; TDM would be utter chaos. And you're right about not feeling accomplished playing this game. There's nothing really to challenge yourself in the match. With Xdefiant I'm bored after about 30 minutes. The game is just really generic.

I hate the factions. The wallhack and invisibility factions are too OP. We need a bare-bones playlist and even a hard-core mode. The bullet velocity is too slow on all guns except for the OP sniper rifles. There's no flinch when you shoot a sniper they just shoot right through your bullets. I'll return to the game when they put bare bones in it.

xdef ain’t bad at all and it’s got good bones to it but I see what you mean about lack of modes,streaks, etc. I feel like the hype built around xdef was having no SBMM (which I love don’t get me wrong) but it shouldn’t be the sole reason to play it. It should be the reason to get a players foot in the door and the content within the game is what makes you wanna play it long term.

I do wish there were more modes, it's dumb to not have TDM or FFA. I disagree keep killstreaks in call of duty I'd rather work towards an ultimate that takes a lot of kills to get rather than getting 3+ kills to unlock each and every ability. Some people will only just like Call of Duty and that's what it is no other game's going to make a clone of Call of Duty to try to kill Call of Duty that's stupid. The TTK is slow but the TTD is awfully way way way too fast. Ill run to a spot and get shot in 20 different directions. The gunplay and movement feels good, im on a 20 series GPU (2080Ti) but im still getting 170fps stable at 1440p native and still trying out different graphics and controller settings. But yea, the game modes are HIGHLY underwhelming to say the least. Im going to wait a little longer before I hop back on.

1. Need a FFA. Im playing by myself and going against parties full of COD sweats... but my team is basically just average casual players 2. I can tell its no SBMM... however i can also tell that the current player base is full of good COD players who are tired of the COD sweat... some matches are super sweaty because of it. 3. The netcode needs to be improved.. im constantly being Angelina Jolie shot around corners. And the TTK and TTD dont feel the same AT ALL. 4. I like the game alot tho... Stop telling people to enjoy something that they don't like. If people don't like it then they don't like it. To me the game is boring bland bo4 with no streaks. The kills don't count to anything you're not working towards nothing it gets a kill die get a kill die. Then you die to some stupid specialist. If they were smart they would've made the specialist something that you got to earn to get in game, instead of being handed to you 🤦🏿‍♂️ Then they released the game with no tdm and no free for all. So you're forced to play nothing but objective objective modes with no type of streaks or anything. Also locking most of the man operations behind the wall is dumb. So then you just forced to play as a woman character. Then majority of the lobby is running around as the same girl characters 🤦🏿‍♂️

During the game's launch window, or 'Preseason' as it's called, Ubisoft is using skill-based matchmaking in two different playlists. One of those is the game's 'Welcome Playlist' (for players up to level 25), while SBMM is also active in 'Ranked (Trial Run)' modes at launch. ( Doesn't have SBMM BTW ), They will flaunt it any way they want to try drag gullible people from another game, Might not be as strong or it might be in an algorithm that puts people into the correct brackets, But sweats will then moan, and noobs wont even "improve", The whole point of having balanced lobbies with the odd 1-2 sweats in, Means people can learn from mistakes, analyse other peoples gameplay and improve. Also kill streaks would make this game more fun and give incentive to work towards something.

Like the game a lot but it's missing important things for me after being in development for so long. No challenges to unlock anything besides attachments, Only pistol for sidearms, no prone, and NO KILLCAMS! I love hero shooters too but this game has the most broken abilities from any hero shooter I've ever played. At least they are all equally broken though and annoying, I guess.

In my experience, I've spent a bit of time with both Xdefiant and MW3, and I can confidently assert that neither game stands out as particularly impressive or unique. From a gameplay standpoint, they don't offer anything groundbreaking, and they're both developed by companies that seem indifferent to the consumer. Unpopular opinion since everyone has rose colored glasses on for this game: the reality of it is that the game is in a terrible state right now, don’t listen to these idiotic crybaby fans defending something so obviously broken. The game lacks everything literally. For example, why can’t ps5 players have an option to customize their controls to their own preferences and have to choose from their layouts on controller? A lot of players have muscle memory and it clashes with their attempt to play the game. THIS IS RIDICULOUS and the fact that they didn’t even prioritize this blows my mind. I am a veteran player (COD, Battlefield, R6, Valorant etc.) I have never witnessed a game release this bad. It’s a poor performance from ubi. Hit scan is a major issue. It’s unplayable for most players. 1 match is alright, second one is catastrophic. Character design looks copied from apex legends. Map design is flat boring, and way too many openings, you need to turn 360 on every step you make. Guns have bad feel when shooting, everything moves like its PMG. And wtf is with faction abilities? Who wanted another dirty bomb copy? Everyone hoped for the old cod experience, instead we got garbage worse than dirty bomb in my opinion. Abilities suck and are overpowered compared to guns. Characters move just a bit too fast to track them cleanly even with really good aim. Problem is that characters can stop the jump mid air, bunny hop around at 40 miles per hour. And it’s not a skill issue like most people will say. It’s literally unplayable, whoever thinks otherwise, hasn't tested the game at all. Belongs to junk for now
