Lucy trained to be a singer as a teenager. Her parents wanted her to be an opera singer. She said it was ruined by all the technical and seriousness of it. Couldn't stay out late Or eat certain foods or laugh your head off she said in an interview. It was no fun so she quite. All the joy was taken out of it. Listen to her sing Little Child to baby Eve. Beautiful

That does take all the joy out of it. Singing is a way of expressing how you feel inside, how can you when you're so restricted from doing everything else?

I get it why people say that Xena is a Femenist icon. She exhibits strength, power, beauty and doesn't feel she needs a man to take care of her but it doesn't mean, she doesn't like men she just prefers to do things standing on her own two feet! 😁

That song didn't even go out of its way to diss men either. Xena's friend even says "A man still loves a woman and a woman still loves a man." Whatever passes for feminism today is failing young women today. This was what it was all about. Women were doing their thing and didn't have to think of competing with men.
