Thanks for this Vid! Just found info on Xencelabs from another reviewer, and wondered how it will work with Blender. And there you are doing exactly that. Thank you kindly for the info regarding this product.

Drivers for Linux with Beautiful software to re-configure buttons is Awesome. Even XP-Pen doesn't provide Software, with complete functionality and configurability, equal to their Windows version. But Xencelabs did a great job on that. I will look forward to buy from them when they increase their Product lineup.

is it true that is all metal build? i thought its made all from premium plastic material?
@aefoundry3 жыл бұрын
It feels like metal to me, and if its high-grade plastic it feels much better then what ever wacom puts out

@@aefoundry do you have any idea if we can buy some screen protection film for the drawing area? im planning to buy one.. but im afraid it will scratch easily like the wacom products. Thanks!

@@paupalopot I have been using this for a few months now and not a scratch on it. I had the same concerns. I dont know how heavy handed you are but I haven't noticed any scratches.

Do you know when will they come up with the display one ? Should I wait or buy this one
@aefoundry3 жыл бұрын
No I don't know they just told me that they are, and its really up to you if you want to get this or purchase the display when it comes out, and honestly it does matter, a display tablet is not going to make you a better artist it is just a tool, so really it comes down to how bad you need a tablet now and what is your budget.

Nicely done. I like your autheticity and honesty (about not being bribed). Very inspiring and seems a great product. Keep doing this great art work. And you are right: Wacom should in fact wake up. Not much innovation there lately. BTW: Wacom is a Japanese company and pronounced like "Wah-com" with a long "ahhh" like in "art"; not the American way... ;-)

thanks glad you liked it, hahah yea I pronounce wacom both ways, proper and improper just depends on how my brain fires it off :D I have used wacom products from 2008 till about 2015 so I have heard it all lol I just dont really mind how people say it as long as I know who they are talking about :)

Wait did i hear linux drivers with a gui awesome
@aefoundry3 жыл бұрын
I was skeptical at first when they contacted me and said they supported linux since I know how half assed other manufactures treat the linux community but they suprised the hell out of me with how fine tuned the gui is and how well it works :) they are definitely going to be my go to brand from now on, knowing that they work on all platforms. I mean it makes sense because alot of VFX use linux to run render farms and production so I am very happy to see that.

@@aefoundry only ubuntu or also other distros i mean with debtab it could be converted for arch but it is good to know which distros will be supported

@@AceRisingChaoticMind I am running POPos so I know ubuntu and deb will work for sure, I am sure that probably redhat/Centos would be a for sure as well since red hat/Cent os are used alot by VFX houses but any the others I am not so sure of.

You should check out opentabletdriver it has over 80 tablets supported by now and has gui and almost all tablet features will work though some tablets don't have support for certain button bindings yet. Even if your tablet isn't supported the people in their discord are really helpful and it just takes some quick testing of values to add a new tablet.

does the driver for this play nice with other drive? i'm currently working from a laptop and i use a kamvas when i'm home but when i'm out i want to use a tablet for portability.
@aefoundry3 жыл бұрын
honestly I haven't tested that, but for the most part I think they would probably mess with each other at some point.

So yall just gon act like #huion and #xppen are just bums? If anything Wacom shows they have been hosing us after all these years with their overpriced gadgets. I might check out Xence Labs' stuff.....
@aefoundry3 жыл бұрын
Who said they were bums? I have been using xppen for over 5 years on my personal machines I even contracted for them for a bit a few years back so understand a bit of their inner workings. All I am saying is that Xencelabs has a superior product then them and wacom and a reasonable price. Huion/xppen are great products but definitely have alot of short comings when it comes to drivers or compatibility across OS. Even now with xppen drivers for Linux they make you root your machine to install it. Xencelabs just has an easy installation and thats it and works.
