I remember this fight very well, how I was gonna go in and kick Malos's ass to the other end of the cloud sea... and then: "Monado Cyclone!" I froze, I thought "There's no way he said that," Ealier i saw that sword of his but i thought nothing of it, then: "Monado Jail!" And that's when it clicked, the powers of destruction and future sight, they reminded me of the monado for a reason, and when the Architect all but confirmed the fact that Mythra/Pyra and Malos are like Alvis, conduits for the monado, I had a mental shutdown at that point, just thinking about all the events of both games.

Malos showing up with a MONADO of all things was surprising enough. But Nia and her development and powers were even better here. She practically no-selled his new destructive powers and almost killed the main bad guy right here. It's rare you see the HEALER take out a main bad so effectively like that. Nia is just awesome.

When I saw Malos wielding his own Monado, I flipped my shit. That's when I started piecing it together, especially since the game shows you that one scene just before this (you know the one i'm talking about). They did an excellent job of making you feel outmatched here. You are facing fighting against the power of a Monado after all, now I know how all those enemies from XBC1 felt XD

Nia been awesome this chapter. This chapter is not JUST trying to get Pyra/Mythra back, but developing Nia. I love this chapter and it gave me more of a reason to love Nia, and feel so bad for her. Now the question is... Was it HER choice to become a Flesh-Eater, or was it forced upon her? The story never states it.

Problem is that other than having the Monado they don't really fight alike at all nor to they have similar body types. They could still make it work but it would be a bit strange. Though on another note, depending on how you look at it Shulk is already an Evil Monado user or rather "The Monado" is.

It possible to avoid monado eater by running from it before the attack starts, you can also prevent the shackle by putting an ice orb in malos, this helps keep the affinity of the blades high.

Getting through the Cliffs of Morytha was an absolute pain, with the terribly narrow Terrain and enemies that knock you off, it wasnt fun And when Malos somehow fell into the hole with monsters in the arena and Refused to come back out, i legit rage quitted, glad i continued the next day cuz everything after this fight is peak JRPG.

Spoilers When Rex and the group go to find the third sword, the one that he apparently Addam couldn't control because it was too strong you actually find it, but it crumbles away into dust and Rex gets a vision of a space station. But they haven't spoken of any space stations so it's likely that this is actually Meyneth and Zanza/Klaus's Space Station. The same one that they conducted the experiment that destroyed their world and made a new one. But it's said that the 3rd Aegis left, Alvis works like an Aegis. He's able to do similar things to both Mythra/Pneuma and also to Malos. Alvis gives Shulk the ability to read the ether to see the future just like Mythra can for Rex. Alvis is also referred to as the monado, similar to how an aegis's blade is just called the aegis but so are they. With the tie ins being that Malos's blade is the same shape as the Monado from XC1 and not only uses Monado Arts but also uses similar skill naming outside of that "Striker Edge" being the example where Shulk had "Shaker Edge" and "Stream Edge". I honestly think Alvis could be the third Aegis. He was able to read the future, so it's likely he saw what would come to pass and jumped ship with Meyneth and Zanza/Klaus. Especially after the MASSIVE SPOILER that is the end of this game.

To me this fight was easy. I was demolishing Malos with Nia. Until he fell down the hole at the entrance and I had to follow him. The monsters there killed my party and I soloed him with Rex vut Was killed when he had THE TINIEST SLIVER OF HEALTH. This same thing happened 2 times until he finally decided to stay at the other end of the run and couldn't fall...

if your struggling with this fight then head to mine elevator 2 in mor ardain upper level. Here there are lvl 60+ enemies but if your much lower dont panic these guys are no malos so defeating them is like taking candy from a baby. These enemies give around 500-3000xp as well as a lot of WP for skills and SP for abilities. After leveling up a few times ensure you have some dessert items in your pouch naricapar jelly is a good shout. I would use Rex with Nia, Morag with Brigid and Zeke and Pandoria. I started this fight lvl 52 and got shredded. Then the lvl grind at mine 2 and the use of naricapar jelly got me through and made a difference. I was lvl 60 in the end. One more thing fight depends on RNG (Random Number Generation) My first fight lvl 60 got killed second time RNG went my way so bare this in mind. Now the last fight of chapter 7 proses a challenge for me but a few more lvl grind and some good RNG and i'll be golden. Hope this helps people.

I found this fight quite easy I used Morag as rank nia healer and use zeke as pandoria and two healers zeke was 52 as well as morag and nia 50, did it on normal difficulty hope this helped

I've been leveling for 2 days straight now with a pretty good grindspot.. I got my units all at lvl 57 now and I still can't win. This is really hard. I tried so many different teams now and don't have a chance. Every time I could launch a stage 4 attack he uses this damn disharmonic shit and I can't launch it. I can't use chain attacks because when I launch those he kills one of my team and I can't revive him. No Pyra/Mythra, no stage 4s, no chain attacks, no throw down/throw up/smash down (I don't know how they call it in the English version, but I guess you know what I mean) combos because Pyra was my only character to throw opponents down after Nia/Dromarch used the attack to inflict break.. I'm desperate. :D

Huh. I beat Malos 1st try but was stuck on Malos&Jin until I switched to double-healer tactics (I didn't even have one designated healer for Malos). I also couldn't beat... ...Ghost Mòrag at all until I cheesed the fight by getting her stuck behind a fence. On my 2nd playthrough I beat all of them quite handily, though. It's amazing what a little experience with the battle system can do.

Yeah sorry guys, I had this immense power I was just not using for no real reason other than some vague unease with revealing that I'm a blade among my friends who are mostly blades, half blades, blade eaters or flesh eaters. Guess I could have won us a lot of fights, stopped a lot of people from dying and probably prevented this whole Pyra incident from happening. oh by the way I can also just infect you with orbs that make your body explode, probably should have used that at the start of the fight. The thing I love the most about this is how Nia’s powers of healing are actually taken seriously. Maybe it’s just me, but most stories don’t give that type of thing the respect it deserves.
