Honestly it is mostly luck, if you can kill all the bugs then the only way to increase the amount you get would be with treasure sensor gear. You can get some basic treasure sensor gear by buying candid and credible armour after getting them to level 5 at the AM terminal. :D

Tenderag yep. Saved up and bought full treasure sensor gear for all my party members. Cost me about 4 mil but best investment I've made. Now I'm getting around 80k each time and getting ultra prime weapons. And it's always 20 chests. Now I just need to farm ultra armour. Know where I can farm them? Thanks

The boss mobs placed around the world tend to drop ultra armour but killing them can be very difficult, it would require you to have a very specific build for either your skell or yourself. I can't really give much advice on them since each one has its own weakness and there are so many to pick from. Just keep an eye out for special named mobs that are of a really high level and see if you can beat any of them. Sorry that i cant help more with that mate!

+Fresh Ness It is not that you Can not kill the joker with a level 30 skell, you can and it is quite easy. the problem with it is that it will take longer then it would to flee and 'Return to Skell' to reset the spawns, the big issue with damage are the 20 level 60 Blatta surrounding the Joker. If you can kill all of them with your phoenix and Insectoid Slayer XX Augments then there wont be a problem killing the Joker, it only takes extra time. If you are fine with wasting some extra fuel and dont mind taking the time to finish the Joker it would be best to equip the Phoenix and a G2-Buster since with a level 30 skell its likely that your regular g buster will miss which is a serious blow to your fighting power, a g2 buster does less damage but hits twice so even if one of the attacks misses its likely the other will hit and with all your insectoid slayer XX augments it should make it fairly easier to kill the joker, if you do want to kill it with a level 30 skell it would be a very good idea to have your teammates use debuff arts to lower his resistances or to equip them with level 30 skells to speed up the process. You can kill the joker it is just likely to be a lot less efficient for making cash then it is to simply flee and reset the spawns. Remember most of the cash from this method comes from the surrounding blatta, not the joker. Cheers for your question and i hope this answer helps! :D

+Thegamingmaster5 it will boost it more for each augment, and it all stacks together so if you have a total of 15 augments each boosting 10%, it will boost your damage to insects by a total of 150%, the higher the level of the augment, the more damage you will deal, so stack as many as you can on all of your weapons for your skell :D

Would the Hexad Partican work as a substitute for phoenix wings? I get that it takes loads of fuel upon activation. But I kinda need to do this to be able to get a lvl 50 skell Would a couple heavy skells and one medium and one light (all lvl 30) Be enough to do this and not blow up?

the idea is to kill them all instantly, if they have a chance to fight you back you will die for sure since there are so many of them. As long as the AoE of the attack you want to use is large enough then you should be able to use it. If you are having trouble getting a phoenix then try fighting the Puges to the right of the entrance of Sylvalum. The higher level ones can be dropped by the Puges at one of the bases that is through and to the left of the large mountain pass in the middle of Sylvalum as well :)

Another way it at level 30 is to get the hexxax superweapon with buffs it nearly one shots him if you have multiple for other party members thats even better and yku say allot of fual jse a fual exploit thts i do it

I also used the Hex for a while when i was only level 30 or so, it does pack quite a punch :P So I agree with you, some super weapons make this a lot easier for people with the lower level skells! Though some of them are a little difficult to get, the reason i chose phoenix as the weapon of choice is because of its massive Area of Effect damage and its fairly easy obtainment by low level players. Thanks for leaving your thoughts on this as well, it is great to see what weapons and set ups other players use to take out these guys! :D

haha man i am sorry i didnt see your comment until now. Yes you use the phoenix to deal Area of Effect damage to kill all the Blatta surrounding the Joker. You dont NEED the augments to make your phoenix more powerful but it really helps a lot so i would strongly recommend using as many augments as you can.

Sounds awfully interesting, I know of farming Joker for easy strong gear and BLADE Medals but that was once I'd already gotten the Ares 70, so I'll go grab a Phoenix and some Insectoid Slayer augments and see where it gets me because I damned well refuse to farm for a Level 50 Skell the usual, tedious way. EDIT: alrighty, I used this method (without treasure sensor and with level 30 skells: they'll survive for enough time to get the Phoenix off and beat it before things get any hairier), and apart from needing like eight Insectoid Slayer XV augments, it was alright; I grinded up the money I needed for a Level 50 Lailah in around three hours, not to mention it got my whole party up to Level 69 and I fully maxed out several classes along the way. I'd recommend it if you don't mind grinding for three hours straight, although its still way better than any other method I've seen. The nearby Dilus can also net you around 10000 credits per fight if you're lucky, I tended to go after those while the weather was Energy Mist so my Skells could regenerate a bit of fuel.

Oh hey! It is good to know people still use this video for reference :D As far as the time and effort put in compared to the experience and money you gain is concerned, this is still one of the best methods i could find that is available to the lower level players, there are some better areas but they always require end game gear or extremely specific setups. The hardest part of this method is to not have them avoid all the damage you deal which they can do quite often if you are not a high enough level. As long as it helped you then it is great though! If you are ever curious about other stuff that you cant find proper guides on feel free to drop a question or two here and I would be happy to help you further since i still love this game ^^

Oh yeah, I'd definitely say it's really useful before the post-game (because, you know, Support Missions exist then), and I think my Enemy Index has my roasted Squall Blatta count at like 1500 now, so that's probably a plus. Not once could I take down Joker himself, but that's alright because the target was his groupies anyway. That is quite likely my one gripe with the game, and that's that Level 50 Skells are ridiculously pricey and without them the Vita's second form is hell to get past.

My other idea was to load everyone up on Ether Resistance Augments, as the Vita primarily uses those. Skell augments needed Ceto parts, though, and, well, let's just say they aren't fun to fight.

Thought I'd drop in again, because thanks to a recent replay of this game (yeah, I play through the story a lot) I whacked C&C gear on three of my party members (so I had fifteen loads of Treasure Sensor VI equipped) and repeated the process. Every single drop was a gold, it was ludicrous. Not to mention, it easily boosted my income to just under 100,000 credits a pop, so ironically enough it was way more efficient than those support missions. I also finally beat Joker, although him dropping a Sniper Rifle made me, well, mildly irate. Still, it's a capital method for good gear and easy money, so thanks for introducing me.

i have a problem, an odd one, i am getting too high lvl weapons, im trying to get money for lvl 50 skells but the purges at fn site 406, my farming spot, are dropping lvl 50s only

If you come in from the south beach that leads in to Sylvalum and immediately turn right once you get inside and follow the wall you will come to a ganglion base, the puge's and pugiliths there should drop level 30 equipment with only an occasional level 50 item. Let me know if you have any troubles finding it and if it is still not being dropped then let me know and i will find another place to get the phoenix for you :D

Thats Awesome! I am glad you found one. The treasure sensor augment requires some incredibly difficult to obtain items, the best thing to do instead is to level up Candid and Credible to level 5 and then purchase the highest level equipment you can get from them to get an automatic treasure sensor buff, the higher level of the equipment you buy, the higher level treasure sensors buff will be! :D

+Dem Legz It is possible but it isnt the easiest thing in the world unless you do a bit of extra preperation, maxing out your insectoid damage gives a crazy boost to your damage but remember the majority of the cash from this method is from the 20 or so Blatta surrounding the joker, if it takes too long to kill him then it would be a better idea to fly up a bit to exit the battle and repeat. You do need to be careful if your equipment isnt high level for your skell because the Joker is a level 90 so he does hit pretty hard, even for a bug.

+Jamie Huggins-moore Skell gear does not have a treasure sensor bonus however on ground gear it is one of the few abilities that are also active if you are inside a skell. I use Candid and Credible's Heavy wear ground gear for my treasure sensor bonus. (All C&C gear gets Treasure Sensor if you get them to level 5)

Hey! sorry for the late reply. The idea of this fight is to be able to kill everything with your first attack, since you will be the one starting the fight the other members of your party should not need to get involved. They also wont be able to attack reliably with the correct weapons so giving them the augments would be a waste. A single level 50 skell should be able to handle this easily but if you are having trouble then try to buff your skell frame with some thermal damage augments to boost the phoenix even further. :)

Abdul Azim for it to be worth your time you should probably get yourself one of the level 60 skells however if you can't then just max out every slot you have for your weapons with insectoid and every frame augment as thermal. The biggest issue with killing the joker is that he dodges almost every attack if you aren't using level 60 skell equipment so a lot of it comes down to luck.

Not often, as far as his damage is concerned he is rather weak even against low level Skells, he is still a Blatta after all. Even if he does break your Skell the money and EXP you gain will easily offset any losses, and with how fast you level up you won't be stuck with a low level Skell for long! Remember you don't have to kill him, just nuke the surrounding enemies and run away. :)

Any Skell that can fly will be able to do it, even the weaker ones. As long as you have a Phoenix as your weapon and have enough Insectoid Augments on everything equipped to the Skell you should be able to kill all of the Blatta however if it is a lower level Skell you may not be able to beat the Joker, if he is causing you trouble i suggest you just fly away after killing all the surrounding mobs so that you disengage from combat instead of trying to beat it.

+Lightning Farron If you use a level 30 skell then your default accuracy may make it difficult to take out the Blatta surrounding the Joker but if you have a level 50 skell and you are still having trouble then maybe it would be worth getting an accuracy boost. Alternatively you could kill some Qmoeva Skell units to get some Skell gear that may already have the accuracy bonus, there are some low level ones on the islands between Primordia and Sylvalum and high level ones all throughout the skies of Cauldros. If your still having trouble grinding here efficiently then feel free to tell me what skell unit your using, level and model. Just east of the entrance to Sylvalum is a Ganglion base with two entrances, both with two Puge's and a Pugalith guarding them, this is the best place in my opinion to get a level 30 Phoenix, The best place for a level 50 Phoenix is at the Ganlion base in the very north-west part of Sylvalum because it has such a high density of Puge's.

+Dirk Theunissen Alrighty Dirk! This is not at all advanced though it will be a bit harder if you are a lower level, The insectoid slayer XX augments are incredibly easy to make and i would recommend using either the Lialah or the Inferno Skells. Once you get your intergalactic rank Phoenix (shouldnt take more then 30 minutes of grinding Puges) you should try to get all of your other equipment to have as many augment slots as possible (so you can use more insectoid slayer XX's) once you have this set up just follow what i showed you in the video. If you are using a level 30 skell you will need to be careful because if you dont kill the blattas and the joker with your opening phoenix attack then you will start to take heavy damage, it is best to just fly in, use the phoenix then flee and then reset the spawns by using the 'Return to skell' option in your party menu. You will go up to level 60 in no time and you will probably make enough money to get a level 50 skell in less then 30 minutes if you do it fast enough :) Hopefully this helped a bit but if you still are having trouble, or if there are things you dont understand feel free to ask more questions and ill try my best to help you out ^_^

+Dirk Theunissen A Puge is the small robot about the size of a human, There arerobots that look like birds called Pugaliths and Ganglion Skell units called Qmoeva. You only need to kill the small humanoid looking robots called 'Puge'. A good example of these would be immediately east of the enterance to Sylvalum there is a small ganglion base, the entrance is guarded by some low level Puge's and Pugalith's so you can tell the difference :)

Probes are mostly found around the map as rewards for finding Treasures (with the required field skill level) A few are obtained from quests from people like Kristy. I have beaten the story and have 117K storage as well as a 45k Miranium income but i still run out of fuel often. If you need easy miranium but you dont have probes then you can always do the missions at the terminal in the Blade Barracks, Some of them give Affinity for your party, Money, BP and some give Miranium.

That method is time consuming and slow, there are much better ways to do it then what are shown. Your skell refuels a small amount for every appendage broken, use a weapon like an M-Missile which randomly targets appendages, Add the Crush Appendage augments and mechanoid slayer XX augments then use it on Qmoeva which each have around 8 appendages. It is much faster and a lot more convenient then the ways shown in those 'free fuel' videos.

If you put the Insectoid damage XX Augments on all your skell weapon slots then you should be able to kill them all quite easily, the problem you might be having could be with your accuracy which is a lot harder to fix. Could you tell me what skell, equipment and augments your using? Maybe we could find a way to fix your problem :)

Hahaha, It's all good! I do hope that this helped you out though :) There are some set ups that can break that hard to reach 100k, it requires a lot of effort but this layout seems to work quite nicely for getting past that barrier. i.imgur.com/DS49BpB.png Also, although it might seem like the Ares90 is the best, if you customize the other level 60 skells like the inferno, you can make it even more powerful then the ares. It is a good place to start but once you have it, try to get the other level 60 skells and see what works best for you :)

+D1rectedBy if you are a low level and are having trouble with this, try buying one of the skells with higher defense. As long as you survive it does not matter if everyone else dies, just make yourself as tanky as possible until you can buy a higher level skell :) once you get one of the level 50 skells this will be a piece of cake :D

Tenderag I'm level 56 and I got the 50 skell !!! I'm not dying anymore but the other dies and I don't want to pays fees !!! I was trying to install the augment , I create it but when I want to put it on a weapon it's like I don't have augment !!! I think I will go alone there it will take more time but that's okay !! :-)

no need to pay fees, simply remove their skells while you do this method, as long as you survive they will come back to life after the battle is over. It is good to have them with you if they are equipped with treasure sensor gear which will greatly increase the amount of money you earn :D It will also help them level up like crazy too! If you do have any other troubles with this though please let me know and ill see what we can do to help fix them :)

Not a problem my man! Treasure sensor augments are very hard to make so the easiest way to get it would be to go to the AM terminal outside the barracks and level up the 'Candid and Credible' company to level 5, once you do that ALL of their gear that you purchase in the shop will have treasure sensor, the higher level the armor, the higher its treasure sensor level will be. If you are having trouble figuring out how to level them up or if you can not find the AM station then use this link to identify what it looks like. xenoblade.wikia.com/wiki/Arms_Manufacturer Right next to the AM station should be another one, but this one is yellow, its where you can buy your weapons and armor, make sure to buy the armor from candid and credible and only AFTER you have got them to level 5, that way they have treasure sensor as one of their augments. You can make augments at the purple AM station. To equip augments you need to open your menu and find your skell equipment, there should be a prompt to put an augment on pieces of equipment once you select them, use this to put your skell augments on your gear. I don't know if i did a very good job of explaining this and if it did not make much sense then please let me know so i can try to explain it a bit better. Hope this helps! :D

You can make them at the AM Terminal. They're surprisingly cheap, as well; all you need is a few Tatty Insect Wings and some Marine Rutile for a level 20 Insectoid Slayer augment.
