I literally ran a barely-started reflect build with a gatling gun, shield, and C&C gear. Reflect Ether, Supershield, Mindstorm, Thermal Payload, and Hellfire, basically. accuracy augments, some beam resistance and 2 max control resist. augments, along with a single 200 TP/art augment. (sounds like a lot, it's really not.) Skills were Trigger Happy, Hellhound, Third Eye, Fast Forward, and TP overdrive. Literally the only crappy part was starting the fight, due to having to both get supershield on *immediately,* AND keep overdrive running infinitely. Once Overdrive was sitting at max, it was basically just spam EVERYTHING until he dies. Slowly. VERY slowly. Seriously, I spent more time running around grabbing my teammates because I had BARELY enough accuracy to even hit the guy, but at the same time, I literally could not die. In the end I can only assume his AI bugged out or something because after 5 minutes or so he just.. stopped doing anything. At all. I mean then again he was really just killing himself with mega bites at that point anyways.. Anyways, it's less of a showcase on how to kill him easily and more of a showcase of how bullshit longswords are in the game.

+Zipzo Figured it out after a few hours. If you go straight from ghostwalker in to overdrive, overdrive interrupts your ghostwalker animation and you end up using ghostwalker but not getting it's effect.

You haven't unlocked the AM. You can get Six Stars from the Wrothians in the mission A challenger approaches, located in your barracks. After that, you'll get the longsword, which is manufactured by Six Stars. You always get busted gear when you haven't unlocked the weapon you're looking for

+TheKingRiki Are you using a maxed out offensive stance with a maxed out aura assault to double your accuracy? Lugalbanda has an evasion rating of 339 so you need to boost the accuracy to hit more reliably. Accuracy up/boost augments and Night Vision augments can help.

Core Crusher is in the Mastermind class branch, Aura Assault and Knight's Soul are in the Galactic Knight branch. For simplicity, just max out every class for post-game, so you can figure out what you even need

What is it that makes ether so much more efficient than any other elements ? Wouldn't it be more efficient to switch swords depending on which enemy you fight or am I missing something ?

There's a skill called core crusher that gives 150% to ether attacks with pretty much no condition except for targeting an appendage. No other element has that kind of damage boost except electric (300%) and you need shock to activate that which is nearly impossible to reliably put on high level tyrants without sacrificing DPS anyway.

+AkashicAstral Make certain you use Offensive Stance combined with Aura Assault to boost the accuracy high enough. Lugalbanda's 339 evasion makes him harder to hit reliably with the base melee accuracy. If you watch his build, he has a melee accuracy of 286. Offensive Stance at max level provides a 80% increase to accuracy and with another 30% due to Aura Assault, Zipzo gets a total boost of 110% to his melee accuracy effectively doubling the stat. After that, it is down to luck. If Nardacyan with its 465 evasion requires approximately 650 accuracy to reliably hit, then Lugalbanda is not far behind in that requirement.

It is an easy to miss detail that anyone can overlook, even I was perplex by the initial "I can't hit Lugalbanda" comments then I remembered Zipzo's Mira Angel's the second video where he made a reply about need 675 accuracy to reliably hit Nardacyan, The Shadowless. So I looked up the google doc on the game on both Lugalbanda and Offensive Stance and started to piece it together. +Vecna6667 Yup, thanks a ton :D I kind of went with the Strongest Prone Gravity weapon. I got a galactic version with two augments I wanted, plus a third one, that while not ideal, not a waste neither! So kind of forgot about Lugalbanda for a while. I went back weeks later, to also kill the golden blatta that is somewhere within the path (after leaving the skell behind) and killed a few Lugalbandas, but I did not get the desired augment sets for the Ether one, will try when I finish off the few Tyrants that are still undefeated by me (pretty much The End bringer, which is pretty much dead from what I have and Phrasis. I felt my battles were somewhat of a gamble with Lugalbanda anyway, so will follow your advice. I felt safer battling (and defeating without issues) the Headless Emperor (forgot the name, it is that 100M hp tyrant) than battling Lugalbanda haha. I kill the rest on foot solo and on skell, obviously hehe.

Yes, you must have the skills and arts maxed out---particularly Core Crusher (since that skill increases the Ether damage, in exchange for not being able to destroy appendages). Using core crusher means you have to target an appendage to get the bonus. Heads are usually weak points on a lot of enemies.

+MaXsTaLe Encase you are still wondering, he's in the giant flower/tree thing at the divine roost at the top of Noctilum. If you have the Ares 90 you can one shot with agni Gatling and then exit your skell and re-enter using the return to skell command. I found this a LOT quicker than doing the support mission

The core crusher damage skill has a huge multiplier that dwarves that of pretty much every other damage % + skill. Making ether weapons single-handedly the strongest potential weapon type in the game.

My personal advice would be to avoid ares90 if you want a more traditional feeling of progression while working up to killing certain tyrants :), however it can't be denied that ares90 really speeds up farming which is otherwise a very boring task without the ares90.

My recommendation would be to get the ares90 but keep it in the hangar and ONLY use it for tedious activities like farming. Pull out your 60 skell for doing anything you would consider as progression. I and many folks I know have done this, lessens the tediousness of farming but allows us to feel the fun of the natural progression.

theres a support mission that gives you 300k credits after completion. With a decent skell it is compelted in about 1.5 minutes. Alternatively, just sell all the gear that drops and you dont need when grinding for stuff like ultra armor, you will get a lot of cash like that, although it is not really a fast cash method, more some side cash

never seen any problem with this guy. i just got all my basic gear from joker and the monkey guy form primordia and then used the galaxy chief sword and it sufficed.

+Misha Isn't Galaxy Chief a gravity sword? That means that Blossom Dance and other arts would do gravity damage and Core Crusher would be completely useless if you're using it.

+Ash i managed to kill luciel and lugalbanda without augments while using galaxy chief so it works. receding rust just works better because its ether.

Misha Well it definitely works, but i've seen people use it in combination with Core Crusher which is a waste of a skill slot. So i thought i'd just throw that out there. Core Crusher + 5 Appendage Crushers does do the most damage but it's essentially overkill anyway.

+Ash yea i switched to receding rust right after getting it just for the ether boost.still need more potential augments and maybe one or two more arts gain TP. augments cost at least as much as ares 90 ticket -wise and its killing me.

Misha I prefer to to farm for my arts gain tp XX. It only takes me about an hour haha. But I don't really use them anymore on my ghost walker set because i rely on essence exchange from photon sabres.

look for one of the environment flowers (not enemys) in noctilum and exit your skell when u are standing on top opf this flowers. If u r doing right u get under the flower... Now enter ur skell and u fell out of the world :D pretty funny Sry for the bad english :S

nice memewalker build seriously, having 3 mindcontrol resist XX augments doesn't make you resistent to it but using fucking ghostwalker of course cheeses everything. God, how did they fuck up the balancing of the super bosses and the ghostwalker skill so badly, ruins everything about the game.

Potential is also a terrible misfire. The scaling of TP art damage per single point of Potential is absolutely absurd.

+MiiSeeks All RPGs are by their nature are unbalanced. Death Knights in WOW, Mages in Dragon Age: Origins, Agility in Xenoblade Chronicles, Potential and/or Ghostwalker in Xenoblade Chronicles X, it doesn't matter the game, there will always be something that stands out. What separates a good RPG from a bad RPG is the ability to think up other ways after gaining an understanding of the game's mechanics to not have to rely on the broken ones.
