Lol I know this comment was 4 years ago, but playing through this now, what ive found is tp skills and potential boosters are the only things that matter. Have some powerfull abilities in your bar that are main damage dealers, 1 or 2 status effects, and something for survivalbility like absolute evasion. Other than that the rest is useless.

+Jade Venator Sidenote, turn down the games Master Volume to a barely audible level for recordings, because you're very drown out in the Telethia fight. You could always mix the audio, but that'd definitely be more work than just dropping the volume for the guide's purposes and putting it back up when you're finished.

Thanks for the expansive vid and explaining how Infinite Overdrive works! I tried overdrive a few times, but I could never get it to be 'infinite'. Now, thanks to you, I know I need a few green and blue arts on my bar to make sure I lengthen my Overdrive duration! I'll probably muck around with some Overdrive Count Up augments. Since you can get anywhere from 20 to 80 counts on your Overdrive as you first start it. Though, anything over 40 per Overdrive is probably overkill.

I built an overdrive that works for the sniper / javelin class. I just learned how to do it. I will try doing it for more classes once I get them to level 8 or more. this was a informative vid btw. not just a show of vid like the others I have seen.

It seems that with your method here that its about the chaining for overdrive and that Soul Voice doesn't seem so important. Great video, thanks for sharing. I'm gonna try this out. =)

So, Ghost Walker is essentially blink? e.g. it sponges hits for you allowing you to go nuts with dps? Man this crap is OP, was wondering how exactly it worked. What about for Skells? I was just doing the chapter 9 boss earlier and my overdrive just kept going and going lol and I have no idea why (I was using the Hagane from a light skell frame). The only thing I could think was the entire time I kept getting soul voice triggers on most of my arts.

+Malacite Skell overdrives gives a higher chance to activate cockpit for each art used and can be extended up to 5 extra times. 1st - 100% chance to extend, 30% chance to activate cockpit. Last 15 seconds. 2nd - 100% chance to extend, 20% chance to activate cockpit. Lasts 13 seconds. 3rd - 50% plus 20% for each cockpit activated, 30% chance to activate cockpit. Lasts 13 seconds. 4th - 0% plus 20% for each cockpit activated, 20% chance to activate cockpit. Lasts 13 seconds 5th - 0% plus 20% for each cockpit activated, 30% chance to activate cockpit. Lasts 13 seconds. 6th - 20% chance to activate cockpit. also all hagane in specific does is increase melee damage, twice the appendage regen, and reflects physical attackshope that helped in some way even though i know your comment is old so you might have already answered your question

If you use Dual Swords along dual guns, use Side Slash bc debuff bonuses during Overdrive will give TP like crazy and Side slash can be uses 3 times at max.

I have one problem though, for some reason Rexoskell (yeah, that shit) is eating my decoy and TP. Is that because of my ground gear, or are there really attacks that bypass decoy?

Don't use True Stream Edge right after Violent Streak/Zero Zero, because then it won't add to the Overdrive count. Use a blue, green or purple art first to keep the count going.

How can you tell how much longer your overdrive lasts the first time you activate it? I activate overdrive with 3k TP and then I try to build my TP back up but my overdrive stops after I gain about 2500 TP. I have the exact same arts and skills as you (only difference is instead of burning slash, I have rising blade and zero zero instead of violent streak), and all the skills and arts are maxed. What am I doing wrong ?

hope it still helps. After activating overdrive there is a gear smybol with a number color and an extra. here is what they do: The extra is a little counter to the right of it. It has a little gauge there which shows you HOW LONG you stay in overdrive. If empty you loose overdrive. The number is a indicator. The higher the number the more a green blue or purple art will restore on the little gauge keeping you in overdrive. The color is a combo. If you use meele art it turns red. Any following meele art will raise the counter so yellow arts are useless in this combo. The color will reset if you use purple green or blue so you can raise the number accordingly.

@@schildiish Here is a question, so to keep the overdrive count running u need to use the melee arts( the red ones) over and over, and if u use the other weapons arts(yellow ones) then the overdrive count will finish, right?

I notice sometimes when you're in overdrive, there will be some bonuses that pop up saying things like "+1000 TP" and "Overdrive extended" and things like that. I've read that those bonuses correspond to the color changes of the overdrive count number, but could you explain those color changes and what effects those give? For example, in one example, you may switch from orange to purple and get a bonus, but in another example, you may switch from blue to purple and get a bonus. Would those two bonuses be the same since you switched to purple? Or would they be different bonuses because you switched from different colors? That part of the colors thing is kinda confusing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

+Greg Quartz Universe Arts are tied to what weapons you're equipped. Normally, Masterminds can only equip knives and rayguns. But because swillo already maxed out Full Metal Jaguar and Duelist classes, he can do a longsword +dual gun build as a Mastermind. (It says so when you get to any advanced tier class: "reach rank 10 to master this class's weapons")

+Greg Quartz Universe Is from an augment that lets arts gain 200 TP each tim are used. Plus some arts that he has equipped also gain TP so he gets around 200-280 each time and art is used.

+Anoj0101 The build consists of Duelist and/or Full Metal Jaguar to be maxed out, so you can use their weapon types outside of their respective classes. In this case, he maxed out both, but Jaguar has the skill you want for the Overdrive duration. Go Commando, then work your way up with Striker. It's the ranks that net you the skills, not the inner level. As for True Stream Edge and Blossom Dance, they're attained from doing Nagi's affinity missions AFTER chapter 8, with one being required to recruit him. You can add me on NN, if you want.

+Anoj0101 If you want to specifically run ghost walker stuff go straight for full metal jaguar and then whatever other branch you want. Ghost Walker/dual guns can function well with any melee weapon, but longsword is notoriously know for being a pretty OP weapon, and it doesn't take much effort to make it OP compared to other weapons either.

+Misha, Yes, I almost never go into a nemesis or tyrant fight without almost full TP. It's hard to start overdrive and keep it going from 0 TP. Having a couple "Arts: Gain TP XX" augments helps a good bit though.

+swillo Were these bought at the AM? Or are they drops? 'Cause I highly doubt my lv. 5 Meredith and Co. line of gear don't contain slots. The Worn Carbide Spatha sounds like a drop because of its "Worn" prefix. I wonder if it's in my best interest to buy the gear and not hope for the drops.

+MsNinian1 Blade medals are earned by recruiting other people avatars. Is on the right side of the mission board. To get 1 you must max level a scout((you know when they hit max because a star symbol appears under their name)) then go to the same place and release them.

Most use triple 'Arts: Gain TP XX' on one of their weapons (usually the ranged, from what I've seen). So that they get back 600 TP every time they use an art. Before any gained TP from bonus effects or something.

Makes it so you don't get hit. Evasion and Ghost Walker/Factory are pretty widely accepted as being insanely good for defense. Can't kill what you can't hit, after all.

I reckon you can probably get away with swapping out Burning Slash for Rising Blade. But the whole thing about Blossom Dance is that it negates the enemy's resistances, meaning it deals it's full damage no matter which enemy you're up against.
