I bought one of these about 5 years ago in the digital camo design. There is a lot I love about it, but I recently switched over to the dry-walker flex by moerman because my squeegees were sitting funny in the holders which would cause an indent on the rubber and every single job it would leave lines of water on the window. There's that and it also had a huge issue with water sloshing around (fixed with a sponge) as well as my 14 inch mop never staying wet because the cavity in the holster was just too damn big. I'm also in Canada. So it's extra expensive for me to get these things because of shipping, duties and customs fees.

I got rid of my silencer for being too big, allowing water out sometimes, and not swiveling when crouching down... The grackle looks great! If it swiveled I'd probably want it. Every tool comes down to personal preference.

I use the dry Walker for my bucket on the belt I do what you do I don't put a lot of water on the sleeve and on the other side of my belt I still have my orange Gunslinger that I put my three squeezes in I love this setup my Gunslinger still in amazing shape bought it in 2018.

Moreman Drywalker twice the bucket on a belt and and you could buy three of these for one of those, this looks like a giant slipper wouldn’t touch it.

Hi Steve! I own a Dr. Angle and have been using it for about 2 months now with no major issues or cracks. While I don't think that it is suitable to be used as an everyday pole tip, I do think it is an exceptional ledger for high polework when paired with an Excelerator 2.0 and can even be used to pole deep-silled triangle panes which I have always needed to ladder up to in order to clean. I will never go back to using the brass ledgers with a wooden tip. I noticed in your product review video from a while back that you attached your Dr. Angle to your pole differently than I do and I strongly believe that is why we have had very different experiences with the product. If you can spare a few minutes I made a video detailing how I attach and use mine and I think that the Dr. Angle is worth taking a second look at. It is titled "Window Cleaning: How To Attach A Moerman Dr. Angle Without Breaking It During Use". I've also left a message for you in the description. Thanks and have a great day!

Nothing beats the Takaki Boab. I'm meh with the Silencer/Grackle. The Takaki does not drip either and it can swivel. The Reach-it 5 tool is also just as good as Silencer and easier to take off your belt to dump water and its only $99.00 and not made of cloth which is hard to clean. Call my man Steve for the Takaki. WCR sells those to. I have three of them!

How is it not obvious that bucket on a belts are not meant to literally be buckets 😂😂

I have a grackle. It's great. But I want the dump option that is on the silencer! I'm always dumping excess solution, and I have to unbuckle the grackle. Waste of time. Otherwise, it's great, and I love using it.

I swear my brotha Steve-O makes videos after our conversations 😂 so I have been cleaning windows for 8 years with an unger ninja boab and it did the job well, and now I’ve been using the grackle for a bit over a week. It’s size takes a little getting used to but the biggest thing is the lack of run off dripping. I will pay that $349 again and again just to be that different window cleaner that didn’t accidentally leave water spots in a customer’s home. #2clip

Hey SteveO. I have xero m9 and doing 2nd story windows with overhangs gets extremely heavy and tiring after the 2-3 house. Is there another pole perhaps that's lighter you recommend?

I would actually suggest going more rigid such as the 30' Destroyer windowcleaner.com/products/xero-destroyer-water-fed-pole?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS

Comparing the grackle to the 5-Tool made by Reach-It: I'd go for the 5-Tool every day. (:

Grackle it was made because silencer allows water coming out if you use 14 inch or below t-bar, thats the diference between them. So 300 bucks for the silencer and you will continue to have a wet leg -.-

I’ve used the silencer for 4 years now and never have a wet leg, just like any boab it has to be dumped out every once in a while.
