I have thoroughly enjoyed all the tutorials showing how to use Xero, and after using NZA accounting and then MYOB Account Right Plus package, found the Xero simplistic, but prefer the compact entering of information in MYOB, preferred use

My company is using Xero. A customer made a payment for 2022 sales invoices and 2023 invoices. I have to knock off the payment for 2022 invoices from Account Receivable Opening Balances and 2023 invoices are inside sales account by invoices. So, how can I split the payment. For example, the customer made $1000. $200 must be offset from AR Opening Balance Account and $800 must be knocked off with sales invoices. What should I do?
