Actually im glad 1D didnt win coz usually the ew innerst dont make it (except from Little mix and a few other) its usually those that dont win that make it big. +Linseyap naivete is when we refuse to accept fact that they have come a long way and if they did not have talent they wouldnt have lasted this long and still going strong IF they had allowed it. The talent isnt just the singing but the personality in knowing what we want and fulfilling it

To be fair, One direction has a huge amount of talent. They did not reach that success soully on their looks and stage presence. They are phenominal singers that do just as well solo. The reason they were did so well as a group is because they all had talent, not just a few. Their success was well deserved, as they proved time and time again on stage. But yeah, not all bands or solo artists have talent deserving of the level of fame they get. And some artists are amazing but do not get the recognition they deserve. I personally love 1D and think they did deserve their place in the final, but I was actually rooting for Rebecca to win. She was so amazing throughout the entire competition.

Matt is a genuine artist who can play his own instruments, sing without auto tune or miming, write and produce. He is also well respected in the industry. Simon will make money with 1d until they split up and go the same as the Moffats. Who? Exactly.

Well it looks like you lost that one. And by the way, 1D did end up writing more than half the songs they ever had and one of them could actually play an instrument at the time of this, and a few others learned how to play. Most of them have phenominal voices that only grew better as time past, and all of them are doing fantastic as even solo artists now, topping the charts not just as a band but as individuals and each writing their own music that is actually really good. They broke records left and right and conquered the globe. Some of those records weren't even obtained by the Beatles. So yeah, they are most definantly going to be remembered. We don't know yet if their music will withstand the test of time, that's impossible to predict right now because they are so current, but we will see. I think you also didn't correctly predict that they wouldn't be respected in the industry, because they are actually, and not just for their one direction achievements, which they earned through blood, sweat and tears, but because of their individual solo achievements as well.
