God, I was there for that San Antonio XFL game. The energy just completely went out of the stadium when they got that 4th & 15. Hell of a way to start the season.
@AdubsMMA Жыл бұрын
Yeah. That is pretty stupid. I like the “3 point play” tho. Every 10 yards should add a point to the PAT. I’d like that rule. Almost every lead would be catchable. 10 yard line - 2 point conversion 20 yard line - 3 point conversion 30 yard line - 4 point conversion Etc One play, get to the end zone, get rewarded.

In the XFL clip - #13 for the STL BattleHawks who caught the conversion and the final TD is Austin Proehl. The bald guy giving him the "fighting hug" at the end of the clip is his dad Ricky Proehl - the STL BattleHawks' WR coach and a two-time Super Bowl champion and STL hero.

In the the world rugby sevens series, USA vs. Fiji, the time ran out with the score tied 14-14. The scorebug said “last play” and the time ran down to -0:31 when Fiji scored to make the score 19-14. Then somehow (I thought it was over so I left the room) USA had tied the game and then it was going to overtime where USA won. Hurling (irish sport, check it out) uses a mixed point/goal nomenclature. If you put the ball (sliotar) in the net that's a "goal" and it's worth three. If you knock it through the uprights it's a "point" and is worth 1. What's more confusing is the score isn't totaled. It's stated as goals-points. So, you might have a final score of 3-18 to 2-23. That's 27 to 29 total.

For the record, in lacrosse, “points” is used to represent goals and assists collectively. So a player may score twice, but can have more points in a game. Two point goals still count as two points on the stat line tho. The two-pointer goal is just called a two-pointer AFAIR lol
@jacoblandfield2526 Жыл бұрын

For anyone actually curious in the PLL lacrosse games a goal is 1 and a 2-point goal (outside the arc) is 2. Players stats are talied in points along with the team but the terminology of goal remains the same.
