The execution wasn't poor. I was gonna rage too until I actually saw it. Last year was a normal cliffhanger, bent up, simply letting go. He actually did completely straighten his body this time (which is why he called it a jackhammer). It turns the difficulty up much higher because it COMPLETELY stops momentum. He earned the win 💯

I hate to say it but I think freestyle Moto is on its way out. Like why are there only six guys, and dudes in their 40s? The sport has gotten too insane. Too many deaths and no new up and comers

It burned fast and hot but the progression has definitely slowed and the sport is becoming too dangerous for any more evolution in a competition environment. 2002-2010 were peak.

Jackos been rewarded for going hard twice, the format of best of two doesnt work, guys land a hard trick and the second try they just dont even try, mix the scores of the two jumps and make them send it if they want the chips

Usually they make the choice to pass because they can't do anything else that would change their score. With how much risk there is in every jump, it's better to let your first score sit and risk a silver than risk your life.

No money in riding dirt bikes anymore . That’s why you don’t see anything new. Riders do the bare minimum now just to be safe. Xgames doesn’t even give out prize money. They keep all the money for themselves and riders pay their own way just to make the sponsors happy. That’s why you don’t see anyone new

Of course dudes are "playing it safe" when theres a half inch of dirt in half of a concrete lot for dirt bikes. No foam barriers, too cramped conditions to speed up and slow down, people just walking around right after a landing, I wouldn't go hard either. Greed is what's killing this event style. Put it back in the real outdoors.
