In this video I install the xHP Transmission Flash Tune on my 2014 BMW 335i with the ZF 8-Speed automatic transmission!

2014 F30 335i/ MHD Stage 2/ XHP Stage 3 here. I've been dailying XHP Stage 3 for a couple thousand miles now. My thoughts. Even in Comfort Mode it made it a big difference, I wasn't worried about smoothness. Stock map always felt sluggish and now no longer a problem. Sport+ Mode in D is where it's shifts fastest and Sport+ in Sport Gearing is where it's shifts hardest. To be honest I rarely even use the paddles anymore. It shifts fast and downshifts fast. For example when you're in Sport mode and you tap the accelerator and kicks down a gear, that's always fun.

I honestly haven't even driven in Sport mode in just D after doing the flash lol. Feel like its not really as fun when I am not using the paddles. But I'll definitely try it to see

@@InlineSixAuto WOT With the paddles is where it shifts hardest I feel and sounds best. I'm not sure if you noticed, but for me after flashing XHP I've noticed that that the exhaust note has changed *The sound when it upshifts. Some people call it DSG Farts* I have OE Exhaust with Pneumatic Exhaust Cutout and is very noticeable.

I felt a huge difference in just normal driving with the xhp flash im currently on stage 3 on my fbo m235i with stage 2 bootmod3 tune. The thing I love the most is you can actually leave your car in sport+ and just drive normal it will shift early like its in comfort this is a big + for me you dont have to shift modes all the time love it.

I’m in the process of buying a 2015 335i M sport with the 8 speed auto. Looking to do similar mods as you. Bolt ons, BM3, and now this transmission flash. Your videos are advertisement lol. Would you recommend using a car lift? Or can I do it in my garage on my back to install the Downpipe? I’m in CA and labor costs are high here. Plus I have been wrenching on my own cars for the past 10 years. Have all my tools and everything. But I’ve never removed and replaced a Downpipe before.

If you've got 10 years of experience with working on cars, you could definitely do all of the stuff I've done on mine, by yourself. I only have about 4 years of experience. You can do the downpipe on some jack stands in your garage.

Yes I did a trans fluid change before doing this. But I wouldn't think its required

Yes you can run any xHP map with stage 1.

Hey Hallen are u tuned with MHD? Bc if you’re I can tell u how to get the better results out of your XHP tune. It goes hand in hand with MHD. Love your vids 🤙🏾

Oh Yeahh I heard that. But I'm tuned with Bootmod3 right now so I won't be able to utilize that with MHD.

@@InlineSixAuto I’m flash to stage 4 but the shifts are lightening fast and smooth and the torque is unreal. It wakes the car up a lot, I thought I wasted my money at first but when I tuned it with MHD together it’s a beat. I gaped every v8s in my 435i and I’m only making 471ph

@@kahbreeyo there won't be any significant difference in gas milage lol. I averaged about 19-21mpg on stage 2 with the stage 3 transmission flash. If you drive a lot, it wont be that good. I filled up like every week and a half to 2 weeks. but I don't drive that much compared to most other people.

Xhp is a full transmission tune that adjust shift speed/shift points/removes torque limits/gives custom launch control. BM3 just removes torque limits.

Yeah what they said 👆. Just overall everyone was suggesting xHP over bootmod3 transmission flash. And some people were saying the bootmod3 transmission flash made the shifting worse or felt no difference at all.

@@InlineSixAuto Thanks for the detailed vid :) I'm S2 BM3 with the BM3 tranny flash from day 1 with my N55/435. I was wondering if you had first-hand experience with BM3's transmission flash and how that might compare with xHP Stage 2 or 3 flash. I haven't noticed any slugginess with BM3's tranny flash to incentivise me (yet) do the xHP flash.

I showed how i did it in the video. Buy License + Map Pack, Download the xHP app, open the app then use the OB2 to Ethernet cable connect in OB2 port on the car and then connect into the ethernet port on the computer. Then click connect in the app. Done

Who drives eco mode ? What’s wrong with you bro what are you 60 y old lol and I totally disagree there is a big difference between stage 2 and 3. Stage 3 is way more aggressive

@@InlineSixAuto I've heard just about everyone who installed XHP say stage 3 was far more "aggressive and faster" than stage 2. Have you driven "aggressively" in stage 3 ?
